     Selma Deleen Slade was born on September 22, 1918 in Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Frank Slade III and Maud Isabelle Rawls.¹
     Selma married Malcolm Edward Gass on December 26, 1938.¹

     ¹ Sherry Ann Slade was born and died on February 24, 1956 in Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Mirl Slade and Ruby Mae Nobles.¹

     Theodore Roosevelt Slade was born on December 19, 1909 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Francis DeWitt Slade Sr. and Mollie B. Martin.²
     Theodore married Kathleen Silverthorne. Theodore died on January 4, 1981 at age 71.¹ He was buried in Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     He was a CPL US ARMY: Served in the Korean War.¹ Thomas Adolf Slade Sr. was born on May 22, 1932 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Cleo Abner Slade and Lizzie Slade.¹
     Thomas married Maudie Lee Stembridge. Thomas died on November 17, 1987 at age 55.¹ He was buried in Rock of Zion Free Will Baptist Church, Grantsboro, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     Ulysses Charlie Slade went by Lishi. He was born on February 11, 1882 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Frank Slade Jr. and Susan Whitehurst Carraway.²
     Ulysses married Amanda Leary on July 24, 1907 Pamlico County, North Carolina.² Ulysses Charlie Slade was registered in the draft for World War I He stated that he was living in Whartonsville on September 12, 1918 in Bayboro, Pamlico County, North Carolina, He stated that he was living in Whartonsville.¹ Ulysses died in 1921³ and was buried in Concord Christian Church Cemetey, Pamlico County, North Carolina.³

     Victor Benjamin Slade was born on August 6, 1915 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Abner Slade and Mary S. Dixon.¹
     Victor married Buena Love Lupton on March 23, 1935 Stonewall, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ Victor died on June 5, 1967 in Florence Twp, North Carolina, at age 51.¹ He was buried in Concord Christian Church Cemetey, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     William Carl Slade was born on June 2, 1914 in Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Frank Slade III and Maud Isabelle Rawls.¹
     William married Elizabeth Peric on March 21, 1942 in Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania,², the daughter of Marie Zevnar & Moses Peric, who were both born in Yugoslovia.² Elizabeth was working at Hershey Chocolate Factory at the time of their wedding.² William died on February 9, 1981 in Pennsylvania at age 66³ and was buried in Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.³

     William G. Slade was born in 1942 in Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of William Carl Slade and Elizabeth Peric.² William died on June 14, 2015.¹ He was buried in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.^1,3 His obituary read as follows:

      William G. Slade "Bill", 72, passed away on June 14, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Christopher S. Rocknage, his Pastor, officiating. A viewing will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.

The family would like to thank everyone for their cards and prayers. A special Thank You to the staff of Hospice of Central PA for providing compassionate care to Bill during his journey.
