     Buena Love Lupton was known as Love. She was born on October 8, 1918 in Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹
     Buena married Victor Benjamin Slade, son of Benjamin Abner Slade and Mary S. Dixon, on March 23, 1935 Stonewall, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ Buena died on August 31, 1993 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina, at age 74.¹ She was buried in Concord Christian Church Cemetey, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     Herbert McCray Lupton was born on September 27, 1910 in Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹
     Herbert married Minnie May Slade, daughter of Truman Ross Slade and Lillie Violet Tompkins, on August 20, 1931.¹ Herbert died on April 7, 1942 in Whortonsville, North Carolina, at age 31.¹ Died from injuries when a car fell on him; age 32. He and Minnie never had children. He was buried in Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     Sylvia Ruth Mars was born on July 5, 1920 in Baltimore County, Maryland,², the daughter of Louise Allen & Thomas E Mars.²

     Sylvia married second Francis DeWitt Slade Jr., son of Francis DeWitt Slade Sr. and Mollie B. Martin.¹ Sylvia's daughter, Joan was from her first marriage. Francis took her in and raised her as his own.³ Sylvia died on July 8, 1993 at age 73.^1,2 She was buried in Oriental Cemetery, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹

     Mollie B. Martin was born on February 10, 1877 in Campbells Creek, Pamlico County, North Carolina.^1,2
     Mollie married Francis DeWitt Slade Sr., son of Abner DeWitt Slade and Juda A. Hafford, on April 21, 1895 At the home of W. W. Silverthorn in Whortonsville, Pamlico County, Nort h Carolina.¹ Mollie died on April 19, 1958 in Florence Twp, Pamlico County, North Carolina, at age 81.¹ She was buried in Concord Christian Church Cemetey, Pamlico County, North Carolina.¹ Sandra Ensley, niece, has possession family bible in New Bern, North Caro lina.¹

     Dorthy "Sally" Muller was born circa 1939 in New Jersey.¹
     Dorthy married James Wesley Slade Sr., son of Artemus Wesley Slade and Stella Mae Woodard, on November 5, 1955 Williamstown, New Jersey.² Dorthy died on January 11, 2021¹ and was buried in Brotherhood Cemetery, Williamstown, Gloucester County, New Jersey.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Williamstown, NJ - Age 82, a lifelong resident of Williamstown, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2021. Mrs. Slade was an active member of the New Brooklyn United Methodist Church and volunteered for the food bank in Williamstown. She enjoyed country and bluegrass music, going to bluegrass festivals, playing Scrabble with her husband, doing giant jigsaw puzzles, and an occasional trip to the casino. Above all, she loved to spend time with her family and was famous for her weekly family spaghetti dinner. Beloved wife of 65 years to James W. Slade, Sr. Devoted mother of James W. Slade, Jr. (Karen) and Linda Tomarchio (Dan). Loving grandmother of Tara Gabbianelli (Mike), Brian Tiley (Nicole) and James W. Slade, III (Ashley). Loving great-grandmother of Haley, Michael III, Ava, Stella, Ivy and Taylor. She was predeceased by her siblings Butch Muller (Edith), Sonny Muller, Charlotte Stefanow (Bob), Howard Muller, Shirley Woody, and Anthony Muller. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, January 30th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will be held at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Brotherhood Cemetery, Williamstown.      Maud Isabelle Rawls was born on September 16, 1888 in Pamlico County, North Carolina,¹, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Lewis & Charles Allen Rawls.¹
     Maud married John Frank Slade III, son of John Frank Slade Jr. and Susan Whitehurst Carraway, on November 1, 1913 in Whortonsville, Pamlico County, North Carolina, at the home of Ennie Slade Lupton.² Maud died on December 18, 1984 in Valley Lee, St. Mary's County, Maryland, at age 96¹ and was buried in St. George's Poplar Hill Episcopal Cemetery, Valley Lee, St. Mary's County, Maryland.¹
