     Miriam married second John Slade.³ Miriam died on October 21, 1934 at age 70.⁴ She was buried in Fishing Point United Church Cemetery, St Anthony, White Bay, Newfoundland.²

     Alfred married Ella Elliott, daughter of Erastus Elliott.² Alfred died on February 8, 2011 at age 84.² His obituary read as follows:

      It is with great sorrow we announce that our beloved Yvonne Marie Crowley passed away on September 2, 2018, in her 72nd year after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents: Ella Slade (Elliott) & Alfred Emerson Slade & her brother Alec (Bud) Slade. She leaves to mourn with broken hearts her husband of 52 years, Michael, her children: daughter Ella Goss (Brook), sons: Robert, Glen (Lori) & Keith, grandchildren: Zachary & his mom Suzanne, Allison & Emma, brothers: Edward (Cathy) & Barry (Joyce), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, sisters & brothers-in-law of the Crowley family plus many cousins of the Crowley, Slade & Hawco families as well as innumerable friends & family far too many to mention. Fondly mentioning her sisters-in-law: Linda, Cathy & special friends Margaret Lacour & Madonna Hawco who cared for Yvonne the past few months. At her request Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5 pm - 7 pm at the Star of the Sea, Holyrood. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred Slade announce his passing on Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 84th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, sons: Barry (Joyce), Deer Lake and Edward (Cathy), North Bay, Ontario, daughter Yvonne (Mike) Crowley, Holyrood. Nine grandchildren: Ella (Brook), Bob, Glen (Lori), Keith, Jason, Cory, Tina (Phil), Jennifer and Tammy. 12 great-grandchildren: Zachery, Allison, Emma, Kayla, Kennedy, Chelsey, Joshua, Cole, Thomas, Jacob, Slade and Grayson. His special friend Amelia Dunphy of St. Anthony, sisters-in-law: Mrs. Effie Compton, Ontario, Jessie Seymour, St. John's, Bessie (George) Cole, Carbonear, Alice Penney, Grand Falls/ Winsor, Mrs. Naomi Colbourne and Mrs. Phoebe Ollerhead both of St. Anthony, brothers-in-law Reuben (Millie) Elliott and William (Elizabeth) Elliott both of Cooks Harbor. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ella, son Alec, sister Hazel Hart and brothers Roland, Jake, Cecil, Edward and Alex, brothers-in-law: Bert Seymore, Freeman Colbourne and Dudley Ollerhead.
