     Barbara married Woodrow "Junior" Clarke.¹ Barbara Jean Slade was born circa 1955 in Victoria, Newfoundland.¹ She was the daughter of Warrick G. Slade and Vida M. Cox.² Barbara Jean Slade born abt 1950 husband: Woodrow Clarke in May, 2010 in Victoria, Newfoundland.² Barbara died on May 10, 2019 in Carbonear, Newfoundland.¹

     Annie May Murley was born on September 13, 1911 in Cox's Cove, Newfoundland.¹
     Annie married Ronald Mitchell Brown Slade, son of Alexander Crawford Slade and Hattie Florence Gaetz, on December 15, 1936 in Halifax, Halifax County, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ Annie died on July 26, 2010 at age 98.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Slade, Annie May - 98 Musquodobit Harbour passed away peacefully Monday, July 26, 2010, in The Birches Nursing Home, just seven weeks shy of her 99th birthday. Born September 13, 1911, in Cox's Cove, NL, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Murley and Martha Frances (Abbot). She immigrated with her family to Halifax when she was still a preschooler, and survived the Halifax Explosion. She worked first at the Soda Fountain on Barrington, then at the French Pastry Shop on Quinpool Road before she met and married Ronald Slade, December 15, 1936. and had lived in Musquodobit Harbour ever since. She is survived by her children, Norma(Donald) Hilchie, Diane (William) Stevens, both of Musquodobit Harbour; and Ronald (Joyce) Slade of Dartmouth; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Mitchell Brown Slade; brothers, Leslie and Roland Murley; half-brother, John Fleming. There will be no visitation but a service will be held in Rowling's Funeral Home in Musquodobit Harbour on Thursday at 2pm, Rev. Trisha Ingram officiating, with a gathering to follow at Bill and Diane Steven's, 266 Ostrea Lake Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Annie may be made to The Birches Nursing Home or Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital.

     Albert married Mary Genevieve English³, the daughter of Bernadette & William English.⁴ Albert died on February 18, 2011 in Toronto, Peel, Ontario, Canada, at age 70.² His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE, Albert Roy - Albert Roy Slade died peacefully on February 18th, 2011, at Providence Centre in Toronto. Born on November 24, 1940 in Kingwell (Placentia Bay), Roy moved to Toronto in 1965 and worked for the Toronto Harbour Commission for 35 years. He loved his family and his miniature schnauzer Hank, who was his loyal sidekick. Roy also loved spenndig time at his cottage in Haliburton. He was a devoted family man and a kind and gentle person. Roy is survived by Mary, his wife of 45 years; his daughter Krista (Oxford, UK) and son, Mark (Prachayawan) and granddaughters Kate and Sonya who live in Tokyo. Roy will live forever in the hearts of his wife and children. His sisters Una (Calvin), Alma (Ray), Linda (Joe) and his brother Ed (Jeanette) also mourn Roy in Newfoundland. The family has decided that there will not be a funeral at this time. There will, however, be a celebration of Roy's life in July when his ashes will be buried in Kingwell. The family wishes to thank the exceptional staff, especially Tess, at the Houses of Providence for their compassionate and supportive care.² He was buried in Kingwell, Newfoundland.²

     Thomas Joseph Slade was born circa 1930 in Sydney, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia, Canada.² He was the son of Thomas Slade and Agnes House.¹ Thomas Joseph Slade was Worked for 35 years at Sydney Steel Co as a millwright.² Thomas died on February 9, 1999¹ and was buried in St. Theresa's Church, Sydney, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹ His obituary read as follows:

Thomas Joseph Slade, 69, of 205 Victoria Road, Sydney, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Agnes (House) Slade. He was a member of St. Theresa's Parish, Sydney. He worked at the Sydney Steel company for 35 years as a millwright before his retirement. He is survived by three daughters, Debra (Mike Whitty), Brenda (Allan Donovan), both of Ingonish and Shirley (Bill Puddicombe), Frenchvale; two sons, Thomas (Cathy), Leitches Creek, Kevin, Sydney; two sisters, Ethel Slade, with whom he resided, Freda (Irving Bailey), Bobcaygeon, Ont; many nieces and nephews; a special niece, Marilyn Hallen, Toronto and 17 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Bill (Willy), sisters, Mary Keough, Agnes Watson, Gladys Messenger, Edna Waye. The late Mr. Slade will have visitation at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Theresa's Church, Sydney with the Rev. A. MacDougall officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.²
