      After living a life of adventure and serving his country for 36 years, Carson Slade of Salmon Cove, CWO (Ret’d) with the Canadian Armed Forces and a member of the Canadian Airborne Regiment. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Saturday, December 8, 2018, age 62 years. Carson left a legacy of service, compassion, and kindness to all who were blessed to have known him. His love for the Detroit Red Wings and John Wayne will continue to make us smile. Predeceased by parents: William and Georgiana; brother: Bruce.
