     Phebe Pierce was born on July 13, 1776 in Somerset, Bristol County, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Captain Mial Pierce and Hepsibah Mason.
     Phebe married first John Slade, son of Edward Slade Jr. and Lydia Baker, on October 4, 1798 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts.2,1
     Phebe married second Wing Eddy on August 13, 1807.2 Phebe died on December 16, 1853 at age 77.

Philip Slade

     Philip Slade was born on April 19, 1730 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Edward Slade and Phebe Chase.
     Philip married Mary Read, daughter of Oliver Read and Martha Durfee, on October 9, 1755 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts.2,3 Philip was commissioned as a Captain in the 1st Bristol Co. Regt. of the Massachusetts militia on June 17, 1778.4 Philip died on July 30, 1803 at age 73.5 He was buried in Slade Cemetery, Pittstown, Rensselaer County, New York.5
