     Victor married Mary Conway on February 3, 1979.¹ Victor died on September 21, 2016 in Chapel Hill, Orange County, North Carolina, at age 59.¹ He was buried in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson, Wilson County, North Carolina.²

     Lloyd A Slade was born on November 11, 1871 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts.^1,2,3 He was the son of Henry L. Slade and Jane Flynn.^2,4,3

     Barclay married Albert Ernest Slade, son of Ernest Randolph Slade and Alice Conrey, in 1948.¹ Barclay Ellen Savin and Albert Ernest Slade were living in 1969 in Wayland, Massachusetts; to Saratoga, California.¹ In 1974, Albert and Barclay moved to Las Cumbres in the Santa Cruz mountains.¹ Barclay Ellen Savin and Albert Ernest Slade were divorced in 1981. Barclay died on May 26, 2017 at age 87.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Barclay Ellen Slade Oct. 31, 1929-May 26, 2017 Resident of Los Gatos Barclay Ellen (Savin) Slade passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2017,with her daughters at her side.She never gave up her attempts to recover from a severe heart attack six months prior.Barclay was born on Oct 31,1929,to Margaret Barclay Noble Savin and William Homer Savin in Ridley Park, PA.She obtained a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1951.She married Albert Ernest Slade in 1948.Together they raised four children in Wayland, MA.The family moved to Saratoga California in 1969, and to the newly formed community of Las Cumbres Conservation Corporation (LCCC) in the Santa Cruz mountains in 1974.Barclay had a successful career in Real Estate,specializing in mountain properties.Barclay and Albert divorced in 1981.Barclay remained in Las Cumbres, where she devoted herself to community participation.She served on the LCCC Board of Directors,the Volunteer Fire Department,and volunteered on many committees to help shape Las Cumbres into the dynamic community that it is today.She managed the elections at the Las Cumbres polling site for more than 40 years.She also volunteered for many years at Village House in Los Gatos,and in several positions at Good Samaritan Hospital.She sang in several choirs,including the Fun Time Singers.Barclay leaves behind her four children,Cindy(Richard Goering),David(Kayce),Lynn and Steven(Colette) as well as five grandchildren,Heather,Curtis,Bevin,Adria and Jansen.      David Noble Slade was born on September 2, 1954 in Takoma Park, Montgomery County, Maryland.² He was the son of Albert Ernest Slade and Barclay Ellen Savin.¹
     David married Kayce D. Curtis on July 10, 1982.^1,2,3 David died on August 17, 2018 in San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County, California, at age 63.² His obituary read as follows:

      David Noble Slade, age 63, passed away in San Luis Obispo, CA, on August 17, 2018. He fought a brave and courageous battle with cancer for six years. He was surrounded by family during his sickness and at his death. Dave was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a hard-working professional with the utmost integrity. He was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, to Albert and Barclay Slade. They moved to California in1969 where he attended Saratoga High School and played football and basketball with a circle of friends he still enjoys. He moved to San Luis Obispo in 1973 to attend Cal Poly University, where he graduated with honors, obtaining a degree in business with a real estate emphasis. He was one of the lucky ones who stayed in San Luis Obispo after college. He became a real estate broker and enjoyed being part of the team at Patterson Realty for over 30 years. David loved his fellow agents; they were wonderfully supportive throughout his long illness. Dave was a lifelong athlete and cherished his weekly golf game with his close friends up until two weeks before his death. David is now watching over his wife of 36 years, Kayce Slade; his daughter, Heather Slade; and son, Curtis Slade; his sisters: Cindy Slade (Richard Goering) and Lynn Slade; his brothers: Steven Slade (Colette) and Daniel Lynn Slade (Nidhi); and his step-mother, Diana Lynn. Those fortunate enough to have been in his life will be forever grateful to have known him. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday, September 28th, at the San Luis Obispo Country Club, 255 Country Club Drive, SLO, CA 93401.²
