     James Bog Slade was born on February 2, 1831 in North Carolina.^1,2 He was the son of William Slade and Penelope Williams. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and became a member of the Dialectic Society in 1848. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1852. He later became a cotton farmer nd General Commission Merchant.
     James married Mary Elizabeth Denson, daughter of Joseph Denson, in 1856 in Muscogee County, Georgia. James died on November 1, 1886 at age 55² and was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Jeremiah Slade was born on October 14, 1833 in North Carolina.^1,2 He was the son of William Slade and Penelope Williams. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and became a member of the Dialectic Society in 1851. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1855 and returned to Williamston where he became a planter and farmer.³ Jeremiah died on August 13, 1888 in Slade Family Cemetery, Hamilton, Martin County, North Carolina, at age 54.²

     Annie Janet Slade was born in 1834 in Martin County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of William Slade and Penelope Williams.
     Annie married John Alexander Maultsby., the son of Lucy Ann Powell and Josiah Alexander Maultsby. Annie died in 1901.

     William Slade was born in April, 1841 in Martin County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of William Slade and Penelope Williams.
     William married Cordelia Hassell in 1868.² The 1900 census indicated that Cordelia was mother of one, but none were living. Also living in their household were her nephew, John L. Hassell, 20, and neice, Margy Hassell, 16.² Cordelia's neice and nephew were sill living with them in 1910. William died on November 20, 1919 at age 78 found dead in bed.³

     Thomas Bog Slade was born in 1845 in North Carolina.¹ He was the son of William Slade and Penelope Williams.
     Thomas married Mary Whitmel Griffin. Thomas died in 1929 in Martin County, North Carolina.

     Helen B. Slade was born in 1847 in North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of William Slade and Penelope Williams.
     Helen married Francis Rhodes.²

     Richard Williams Slade was New Tag on August 18, 1851 in Martin County, North Carolina.¹ He was born on August 15, 1852 in North Carolina [tombstone shows 1851].^2,3 He was the son of William Slade and Penelope Williams.
     Richard married Susan Griswold Hunter, daughter of William Cunningham Hunter and Ann Susan Griswold, in 1890 in Muscogee County, Georgia. [likely]² Richard died on January 27, 1920 at age 67.^1,3 He was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Denson was born on November 5, 1835 in Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Joseph Denson.³
     Mary married James Bog Slade, son of William Slade and Penelope Williams, in 1856 in Muscogee County, Georgia. Mary died on June 16, 1920 at age 84^2,4 and was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Bog Slade Maultsby was born in 1869 in Columbus County, North Carolina. He was the son of John Alexander Maultsby and Annie Janet Slade.
     Bog married Elizabeth Rhodes, daughter of Francis Rhodes and Helen B. Slade. Bog died in 1945.

     Elizabeth Rhodes was known as Bessie. She was born circa 1873 in Martin County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Rhodes and Helen B. Slade.
     Elizabeth married Bog Slade Maultsby, son of John Alexander Maultsby and Annie Janet Slade. Elizabeth died in 1911.

     George Slade was born circa 1869 in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Frederick W. Slade and Mary E. Moseley.¹

     Annie Lee Slade was born in 1866. She was the daughter of James Bog Slade and Mary Elizabeth Denson.
     Annie married Henry J. Smith in 1890. Annie died in 1909.
