Slade apparently died before November, 1864 in Tennessee; as an inventory of his estate was filed November 2, 1864 in Davidson County, Tennessee.3 He was buried in Nashville City Cemetery, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.5

     Drummond W. Slade was born in October, 1844 in Kentucky.2 He was the son of Andrew Slade and Elizabeth Rosell.3 During the Civil War, Drummond W. Slade was a Union soldier, Company A, 34th Ohio Infantry (Regulars). He was taken prisoner by the Confederate soldiers in Mississippi and imprisioned in Andersonville for nearly 3 years.4 Drummond died on March 28, 1922 at age 774 and was buried in Springboro Cemetery, Warren County, Ohio.4
