     Billie Jean "Honey" Slade was born on January 14, 1931 in Arcanum, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Francis Slade and Venice Modena Eck.¹
     Billie married Oliver Johnson on August 27, 1949 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Per father's 1985 obituary, Billie was married to DeShayes and lived in Vandalia, Ohio.¹ Billie died on July 31, 2022 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, USA, at age 91.² Her obituary read as follows:

Of Butler Twp., was sent off by Robert (Bob) DeShayes, her loving husband of 57 years and 364 days, Lori (Johnson) Woodruff, her daughter, and Laura M. Woodruff, her granddaughter, on July 31, 2022. She joins her parents, her sister Patty (Slade) Neary, her son Mitchell Johnson, and her first husband Oliver Johnson. Billie was born on January 14, 1931, in Arcanum, Ohio, to Edward Slade and Venice Modina (Eck) Slade, graduated from Arcanum High School, and later moved to Dayton, Ohio. During her life, Billie raised two children, Mitch Johnson and Lori Woodruff (John), and has four grandchildren, Ryan Johnson (Nikki), Dustin Johnson (Chelsea), John Woodruff, and Laura M. Woodruff. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with her family, and was an excellent cook. Billie had many friends and attended Stillwater Church. Throughout her life, she faced much adversity and tragedy, but never complained. Billie was "tougher than wang," a type of leather known for its toughness. At her request, there will be no services.²

     Richard Maxwell Slade was born on October 8, 1911 in Darke County, Ohio.² He was the son of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.^3,1
     Richard married Mary Magdalene Spencer on July 28, 1934 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana,¹, the daughter of Maud Dill & Melvin P Spencer.¹ The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1994.³ Richard died on July 19, 1995 in West Manchester, Preble County, Ohio, at age 83.² Anniversary announcement mentions children Delores Unthank, Richard & Sandy Slade, and Barbara Bixler; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.⁴

     Kenneth Ralph Slade was born on April 28, 1914 in Darke County, Ohio.² He was the son of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.¹
     Kenneth married Ruth Eileen Brown on September 13, 1936.¹ It was stated in his brother Edward's 1985 obituary, that Kenneth was living in Phoenix, Arizona.¹ Kenneth died on July 19, 2001 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 87.³

     Nancy Cunningham was born circa 1871 in Ohio.²
     Nancy married Charles S. Slade, son of Hamilton Slade and Mary Jane Hall, in 1902.³ Nancy died in 1940 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.¹ She was buried in Greenville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.^1,4

     Allen Cunningham Slade was born on February 20, 1903 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Charles S. Slade and Nancy Cunningham.¹ Allen Cunningham Slade was Civil Engineer with the Ohio State Highway Department in 1930 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.² He was County Engineer between 1940 and 1945 in Franklin County, Ohio.³ Allen died after 1961.¹

     Ruth Irene Slade was born on August 20, 1918 in Preble Co., Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Clifford C. Slade and Gertrude S. [?]¹ Ruth died on October 17, 1925 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio, at age 7.¹ She was buried in Castine Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Foster C. Erisman was born on October 10, 1893 in Adams Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹
     Foster married Mildred O. Slade, daughter of Charles Otho Slade and Mollie D. Oswalt, on October 6, 1923 in Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Ethel May Robeson was born on May 25, 1875 in Van Buren Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac D. Robeson and Eliza Ann Slade.¹ Ethel died before July, 1928 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Hamilton Dynes Slade was born circa 1856 in Darke County, Ohio, his tombstone indicates he diied age 52.¹ He was the son of Hamilton Slade and Cordelia Dynes.²
     Hamilton married Lydia M. Taylor, daughter of Benjamin Taylor and Nancy Jane Hogwood, on November 11, 1893 in Ohio. Hamilton died on February 20, 1908.¹ He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     John Lark Slade was born on June 4, 1863 in Darke County, Ohio.² He was the son of Larkin Slade and Rachel Dungan.¹
     John married Anna Rebecca Cozatt, daughter of Samuel Cozatt and Minerva Eiler, on May 23, 1885 in Ohio.³ John died on August 16, 1940 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio, at age 77.² He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.² His obituary read as follows:

      John L. Slade, 77, a retired farmer, died at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, at 2:20 a.m. today. He suffered a paralytic stroke last Tuesday. Mr. Slade, who had lived in Greenville since 1920, formerly farmed in the Jaysville vicinity.
He leaves five children, four sons and one daughter; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Isaac, of Astoria Washington, and a sister, Mrs. Etta Marshall, of Arcanum. His wife, Anna, died in 1933.
The children are: Wiley and Arthur, both of Greenville; Frank, of Dayton; James of Greenville, R.R., and Mrs. Raymond Hand of Ansonia.
Funeral services are to be held at the Miller Funeral Home here at 2:30 p.m. Sunday followed by burial at Abbottsville.

     Isaac married Samantha B. Anderson on April 16, 1885 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Isaac S. Slade was living in Astoria, Washington, in 1940 at the time of his brother John Lark's Death.²

     John William Marshall was born on April 18, 1866 in Darke County, Ohio.¹
     John married Marietta Slade, daughter of Larkin Slade and Rachel Dungan, on January 30, 1890 in Ohio.² John died on September 17, 1932 at age 66¹ and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.³

     Lydia M. Taylor was born on November 28, 1871 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Taylor and Nancy Jane Hogwood.¹
     Lydia married Hamilton Dynes Slade, son of Hamilton Slade and Cordelia Dynes, on November 11, 1893 in Ohio. Lydia died on July 10, 1919 at age 47.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹
