     Franklin married Gertrude L. Breeze on May 1, 1961 in Ohio.¹ Franklin died on May 1, 1962 in Ohio at age 77.¹ He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Celia J. Slade was born on January 6, 1883 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of George Washington Slade and Sarah Elizabeth Mettler.² Living with parents at age 27 in 1910 census. Celia died on September 9, 1913 in Darke County, Ohio, at age 30.¹

     Goldie J. Slade was born on April 3, 1885 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of George Washington Slade and Sarah Elizabeth Mettler.¹ Goldie died before May 29, 1915 in Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Autie married Orval S. Emerick on July 3, 1907 in Ohio.¹ Given name and marriage from Letters of Administration filed for parents in 1938.¹ Autie died in April, 1975 in Twin Twp, Darke County, Ohio, at age 89.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Lula married Wilbert Wadleigh on September 26, 1918 in Tennessee.¹ Lula died on July 31, 1919 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, at age 30.³ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.³

     Nellie Ruth Slade was born on September 4, 1898 in Arcanum, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.¹
     Nellie married Paul Ahijah Shank on November 28, 1916 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Nellie died on June 27, 1982 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio, at age 83.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She Obituary states that Nellie died following a lingering illness. She entered the Brethren's Home in 1978 and died in 1981. Predeceased by husband, son Gene, grandaughter Nancy Shank, a brother, and a sister. Survived by daughter Mrs Herschel (Betty) Toman of Greenville, daughter Mrs Harry (Marabell) Stockslager of Arcanum; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister Evelyn North of Lewisburg, Dale Slade of Covington, Everett [should be Edward] Slade of Arcanum, Richard Slade of W Manchester, and Kenneth Slade of Phoenix, AZ.
While Nellie's obituary from the Garst Museum's files seemed to indicate she died in 1981, Mark Baker (spouse of descendant) reports Nellie died as shown in the record. His notes also indicated Nellie was born in 1900, but that conflicts with date in Darke Co. Birth Records which is shown in this record. Mark reported Nellie's middle as "Ruth". The "B." shown in earlier records was possibly a misread/misinterpretation? In 2000.²

     Charles Anderson Slade was born on March 2, 1902 in Arcanum, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.¹ Charles was listed as a boarder living with Mrs Louisa Zimmerman in 1920 census.¹
     Charles married Lucille Wintringham in August, 1929.¹ He retired from the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and served on many advisory boards. Member of Trinity United Methodist Church.²

     Edward Francis Slade was born on August 14, 1907 in Arcanum, Darke County, Ohio.² He was the son of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.¹
     Edward married Venice Modena Eck, daughter of Perry E Eck, on November 15, 1927.³ Edward died on October 15, 1985 in Arcanum, Ohio, at age 78.² He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.²

     His obituary stated that he retired from Frigidaire, Moraine City, Dayton, they had a winter home in Clearwater, Florida and he was a former Chief of Police of Arcanum, Ohio.⁴

     Ruby Geraldine Slade was born on September 15, 1909 in Twin Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Percival Slade and Miranda Gerber.¹
     Ruby married Ralph Bollinger on July 7, 1928.¹ Ruby died before 1981.¹

     Hettie married Leonard C. Slade, son of George Washington Slade and Sarah Elizabeth Mettler, on June 18, 1903 in Ohio.¹ Hettie died on January 1, 1949 in Ithaca, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was buried in Ithaca Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹ Her date of death is from Leonard's obituary. Her own obituary provided her maiden.¹
