     Lloyd A. Slade was born on November 3, 1930 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Isaac Arthur Slade and Eva M. Huston.¹
     Lloyd married Rose M. Ficco on January 1, 1952 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Lloyd died on April 8, 1992 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 61.¹ He was buried in Forest Hill Cem, Miami County, Ohio.¹ Per Obituary in Garst Museum files.¹

     Floyd G. Slade was born on January 21, 1942 in Darke County, Ohio.² He was the son of Isaac Arthur Slade and Eva M. Huston.¹ Lived in Piqua, Ohio, in 1992. Floyd died on September 20, 2003 at age 61.² He was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.²

     Rose M. Ficco was born on February 25, 1926 in Lebanon Co., Pennsylvania.¹
     Rose married Lloyd A. Slade, son of Isaac Arthur Slade and Eva M. Huston, on January 1, 1952 in Darke County, Ohio.¹ Called 'Rose Mary Fick' in marriage record. She was previously married and divorced.¹ Rose died in 1979.¹

     Virginia B. Slade was born on June 17, 1933 in Montgomery County, Ohio.² She was the daughter of Franklin Ezra Slade and Myrtle May Canaday.³ Her married name was Steinke.¹ Virginia died on September 23, 2003 at age 70.¹ She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹

     Janet Slade was born on May 8, 1930 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.² She was the daughter of Franklin Ezra Slade and Myrtle May Canaday.¹ In 1951, she married Harold C. West.³ Janet Slade resided in Beavercreek, Ohio, in February, 2012.⁴ Janet died on March 20, 2019 at age 88.³ She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.³ Her obituary read as follows:

      WEST, Janet M. Age 88, of Beavercreek passed away March 20, 2019. She was born May 8, 1930 in Dayton Ohio to the late Frank E. and Myrtle (Canaday) Slade.
Janet was a member of First Baptist Church of Dayton and a former member of Beavercreek Church of the Brethren.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 68 years
Harold C. West; daughter Linda (Pete) West Thomson; son Tim (Angie) West; grandchildren Matthew (DeAnn) Owens, Nathan (Kimberly) Owens, Shannon (Kyle) Brown and Athena West; five great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Dayton on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service at the church.      Harold Gilbert Slade was born on January 24, 1916 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.³ He was the son of Franklin Ezra Slade and Myrtle May Canaday.¹
     Harold married Dorothy Mildred Millett on January 30, 1937.² Dorothy was the daughter of Rose Reed and William Millett.² Harold died on February 11, 1988 in Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 72.² He was buried in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington, Miami County, Ohio.⁴

     Donald F. Slade was born on December 5, 1919 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.^2,1 He was the son of Franklin Ezra Slade and Myrtle May Canaday.³ Donald died on July 20, 1999 at age 79¹ and was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹

     Mentor H. Slade was born on March 11, 1922 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ He was the son of Franklin Ezra Slade and Myrtle May Canaday.²
     Mentor married Marjorie Clawson, daughter of Clyde C. Clawson and Margaret Ann Taylor.¹ Mentor died on February 1, 2012 in Fairborn, Greene County, Ohio, at age 89.¹ He was buried in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.¹ His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE, Mentor H. age 89 of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Emeritus at Fox Run, Fairborn, OH, following an extended illness. Mentor was born March 11, 1922 in Greenville, OH, son of the late Frank E. and Myrtle (Canady) Slade. He proudly served his country as a Warrant Officer in the 11th Armored Division of the US Army from 1940-1945. Mentor fought throughout Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge with General Patton. He returned to Dayton and married the love of his life, Marjorie Clawson and personally built their first home. Mentor enjoyed working on projects and spending time with family. He was a member of Ft. McKinley E.U.B. Church. Mentor retired from Dayton Power and Light after 32 years of service. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Mark (Bess) Slade of Englewood, OH; 2 daughters, Jeanne (James) Darling of Springfield, OH and Heather Williams of Riverside, OH; 4 granddaughters, Dr. Natalie Slade (Chad) Armentrout, Nicole (Ryan) Eatough, Chelsea (Charles) Masden and Stephanie (John) Unger; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Harold) West of Beavercreek, OH; sister-in-law, Mary Slade of Centerville, OH; many other loving family members and friends. Mentor was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie (Clawson) Slade; 2 sisters, Lucille (Bob) Yount and Virginia (Harold) Steinke; 2 brothers, Don Slade and Harold (Dorothy) Slade. Mentor felt fortunate for the life he enjoyed and the friends he met along the way. His family mourns his passing but, give thanks for his presence in their lives. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, February 6, 2012 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home and Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St., Dayton, OH 45415. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.¹

     Lulu married Hollie Blessing Oswalt, son of Albert Oswalt and Eliza Elvira Slade, on February 26, 1908 in Darke County, Ohio.² Lulu died in 1953 in Greenville Twp, Darke County, Ohio.¹ She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio.¹

     Gertrude L. Breeze was born on February 8, 1904 in Radnorshire, Wales.¹
