     Gladys married Harry Adam Slade, son of Charles S Slade and Anna C. Perrine, on March 27, 1920 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.² Gladys died in November, 1961 in Pinellas County, Florida, at age 60.⁴

     Patricia Louise Slade was born on August 9, 1926 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.^1,2 She was the daughter of Harry Adam Slade and Gladys Virginia Cook.¹
     Patricia married George William Boesenberg.³ Patricia died on April 30, 2012 in Pinellas County, Florida, at age 85.² She was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida.⁴

     Dicey Conner was born circa 1838 in Kentucky.² She was the daughter of John & Betsy Conner of Boone County, Kentucky.³
     Dicey married Lewis Alexander Slade, son of Lemuel W Slade and Ann Williams, on December 27, 1860 in Boone County, Kentucky.^1,3

     Frances H. Slade was known as Fannie.¹ She was born circa 1862 in Kentucky.² She was the daughter of Lewis Alexander Slade and Dicey Conner.¹ She married James A. Leach.

     James Slade was born in October, 1867 in Kentucky.² He was the son of Lewis Alexander Slade and Dicey Conner.³ [His death certificate notes that he was born Jan 17, 1868 in Georgetown, KY].⁴
     James married Lillian Belle Rumsey.⁵ She was the daughter of Harriet Faught and Isaac Rumsey.⁶ James died on April 20, 1942 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, at age 74.⁴ He was buried in Lexington Cemetery, Fayette County, Kentucky.⁴

     Richard Blaine Slade was born on July 5, 1947 in Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of Calvin Blane Slade Jr. and Helen Rose McCoun.¹
     Richard married Vickie Hignite.³

     Arlene married William Edward Slade, son of George Washington Slade and Honor Belle Hill, in 1946.² Arlene died on January 1, 2003 in Kentucky at age 72.¹

     Wayde P. Slade was born on December 9, 1959 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of William Edward Slade and Arlene Kearns.¹ Wayde died on June 19, 1984 at age 24.¹

     Samuel James Slade was born on November 4, 1912 in England.¹ He was the son of Samuel Slade and Ethel Bowsher.¹ Samuel died in September, 1999 in Somerset, England, at age 86.¹

     William Henry Slade was born circa 1885 in Hardenhuish, Wiltshire, England.² He was the son of Caleb Slade and Sarah Woods.² William died in September, 1964 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.³

     Howard Jett Slade was born on May 9, 1901 in Harrison County, Kentucky.^3,4 He was the son of John William Slade and Henrietta Patton Meek.
     Howard married Odella M. Straub.¹ Howard died in December, 1966 at age 65⁴ and was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.²

     Ruth M. Slade was born on September 23, 1917 in Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.^2,3 She was the daughter of John William Slade and Henrietta Patton Meek.¹ Ruth died on September 12, 2017 at age 99.² She was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.² Her obituary read as follows:

      Ruth Slade Riggle, 99, Cynthiana, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at Edgemont Healthcare.
She was born in Harrison County, Sept. 23, 1917 to the late John W. Slade and Henrietta Meek Slade. She was a retired clerk for the Cynthiana Water Department and a member of Cynthiana Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay (Dale) Whitaker, Cynthiana; a son, George (Peggy) Martin, Lebanon, Ky; two granddaughters, Meghan (Troy) Roberts, Georgetown and Lyndsay (Timmy) Prewitt, Cynthiana; and two grandsons, Bryan Martin and Stuart Martin, both of Lebanon.
She will be interred at Battle Grove Cemetery. Burial service will be private.

     James married Lola Mae Walton.³ James died on March 2, 1953 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky, at age 28.² He was buried in Hebron, Boone County, Kentucky.²

     Howard Slade was born on October 28, 1902 in Harrison County, Kentucky.² He was the son of James William Slade and Susan Barnes.³ He is listed as Howard in 1910 & 1920 census, but in 1930, he is listed as William H Slade, 27, with sister, Ruth M, 12.¹ Howard Slade enlisted to serve in World War II on August 27, 1942 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, current resident of Scott Co, Kentucky.⁴
     Howard married Grace Cole.^5,6 Howard died on April 23, 1970 in Fayette County, Kentucky, at age 67^6,7 and was buried in Lexington Cemetery, Fayette County, Kentucky.⁶

     Vertner L. Slade was born on March 1, 1898 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of James Slade and Lillian Belle Rumsey.³
     Vertner married Gladys M. Goodrich, daughter of J. L. Goodrich and Sibbie Kennedy, on September 18, 1920 in Clark County, Indiana.^3,4 Vertner died in August, 1986 in Lexington, Kentucky, at age 88.^1,4 His obituary read as follows:

      Vertner L. Slade, founder and operator of Slade & Collins Insurance Agency and a former potentate of the Oleika Temple, died Saturday after a long illness. He was 88.
     Slade, formerly of Chenault Road, operated the insurance agency for more than 52 years. He was described by his secretary of 35 years, Harriott Shepherd, as "a very nice person to work for - one of the greatest guys to work for there ever was." She also called him "Colonel Slade." He was a Kentucky Colonel, and the title fit him well, she said. "He was a gentleman. He tipped his hat or took it off," she said.
     Slade also was the founder and the first president of the Kentucky Association of Mutual Insurance Agents. He helped found and headed the insurance school at Eastern Kentucky University.
     

In 1967 he was named Mr. Mutual Agent. In 1968, he was elected potentate of the Oleika Temple.
     
He was also a member emeritus of the board of governors for the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Lexington, where for more than 13 years he was the chairman of the program to help poor children attending the annual Oleika Shrine Circus.
     

He was also one of the founders of the Stop Over House in Lexington for World War II soldiers. The halfway house provided tours all over the area and served a Sunday lunch for 25 cents. "He was proud of the house and to have worked with it," Mrs. Shepherd said. He was also a member in the Civil War Round Table, Lexington Lodge No.1, Washington Council No. 1, Webb Consistory of Kentucky Scottish Rite, the Legion of Honor and the Royal Order of Jesters.
     

He was a past president of the Fayette Lions Club, a past post commander of the Man o' War post of the American Legion and a naval veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
      He is survived by his wife, Gladys Goodrich Slade of Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Avent of Bennetsville, S.C; three grandsons; and two great- grandsons.⁴

     Gladys M. Goodrich was born on July 1, 1900 in Gratz, Owen County, Kentucky, She was the daughter of Sibbie Kennedy and J. L. Goodrich.¹ She was the daughter of J. L. Goodrich and Sibbie Kennedy.¹
     Gladys married Vertner L. Slade, son of James Slade and Lillian Belle Rumsey, on September 18, 1920 in Clark County, Indiana.^1,2

     Lillian Belle Rumsey was born on October 10, 1864 in Kentucky [findagrave.com shows Oct 18, 1863].^3,4,2 She was the daughter of Harriet Faught and Isaac Rumsey.⁴
     Lillian married James Slade, son of Lewis Alexander Slade and Dicey Conner.¹ Lillian died on December 11, 1926 in Fayette County, Kentucky, at age 62.⁴ She was buried in Lexington Cemetery, Fayette County, Kentucky.⁴

     Robert Lee Slade was born on January 4, 1893 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of James Slade and Lillian Belle Rumsey.¹ Robert Lee Slade was registered in the draft for World War I in 1917 in Lexington, Kentucky.³
     Robert married Mary Harvey.⁴ Robert died on June 17, 1964 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, at age 71.² He was buried in Calvary Episcopal Ch Cemetery, Fletcher, Henderson County, North Carolina.²
