     Otie Fletcher Slade was born on September 13, 1882 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of John Fletcher Slade and Arabella Harden.¹
     Otie married Thomas Andrew Garfield Slade, son of George Marion Dallas Slade and Lydia Ann Wilson, on September 8, 1900 in Kentucky.¹ Otie died on May 5, 1958 at age 75² and was buried in Independence Cemetery, Independence, Kenton County, Kentucky.³

     Annie T Slade was born on October 21, 1876 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of John Fletcher Slade and Arabella Harden.¹
     Annie married Aaron Ashbrook on December 23, 1892 in Kentucky.²
     Annie married second Joseph Stroub on September 19, 1900 in Kentucky.¹

     Edmond Wilder Slade went by Wilder.² He was born on August 5, 1870 in Harrison County, Kentucky. [1900 census shows Aug 1873]^3,2 He was the son of John Fletcher Slade and Arabella Harden.⁴
     Edmond married Ida J Barnes, daughter of William Madison Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth McClure, on June 8, 1892 in Kentucky.⁵ Edmond died on May 26, 1943 at age 72.² He was buried in Rocky Spring Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.²

     Thomas Criswell was born in 1835 in Shelby County, Kentucky.¹
     Thomas married Emily A Slade, daughter of Ezekiel H. Slade and Mary Ellen Toadvine, on October 19, 1863 in Harrison County, Kentucky.² Thomas died on April 21, 1907 in Kentucky.¹

     Mary Delilah Martin was known as Polly. She was born on May 16, 1840 in Harrison County, Kentucky,¹, the daughter of Elizabeth Brammock & Rankin Martin.¹
     Mary married Samuel J. Slade, son of Ezekiel H. Slade and Mary Ellen Toadvine, on February 21, 1858 in Kentucky.² Mary died on March 5, 1917 in Kentucky at age 76.¹ She was buried in Curry Church Cemetery, Harrison County, Kentucky.³ Her obituary read as follows:

      SLADE--After years of patient suffering Aunt Polly Slade quietly passed to the Great Beyond on last Monday afternoon, March 5, at about 5:30 oÂ’clock. She died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. John Blackburn, at Kelat. Mrs. Slade had been a patient sufferer, rarely complaining, enduring it all in silence. Indeed, she seemed to look to the interest and welfare of others instead of complaining of her own ills. She was a daughter of the late Rankin and Elizabeth Martin, and was born at Curry on May 16, 1840, and thus was nearing her seventy-seventh anniversary. Early in life, possibly some fifty years ago, she and Uncle Sam Slade were united in marriage. To this union thirteen children came to bless these good people Two of the boys died when quite young, leaving nine girls and two boys, besides her husband to mourn her loss. She leaves three brothers, Messrs. Joe S. Martin and Peter Martin, of near Kelat, and Lark Martin, of Sedalia, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. S.W. Hill, of Kelat. The surviving children are: Mrs. Joe Beckett, Sunrise; Mrs. J.R. Brannock, Mrs. J.J. Sellars, Mrs. John Blackburn, Mrs. R.H. Lang, Mrs. B.W. Brannock, Mrs. A.B. Wheeler, all of Kelat; Mrs. Chas. A. Toadvine, Mrs. Arthur Rainey, of Miamisburg, OH, Messrs. John and D.F. Slade, of Cynthiana. When quite young Mrs. Slade became a member of the Curry M.E. church, South, and ever lived the faithful christian life. She was a woman widely known and greatly beloved. Her children are among the most prominent and most influential of the county, and her death brings sorrow to the hearts of all who had the privilege of enjoying her friendship. On account of the absence of some of the members of the family in Florida the funeral will not be held until tomorrow, Friday, morning at 11 oÂ’clock. It will be at the Curry church, with services conducted by Rev. E.L. Griffy. The burial will be at Curry. The pall bearers selected are: Dr. G.A. Beckett, Beckett, Jewel B. Slade, J.W. Brannock, Jr.³

     Josephine Slade was known as Josie. She was born in March, 1880 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.²
     Josephine married Arthur Lee Rainey on October 29, 1902 in Kentucky.² Josephine Slade and Arthur Lee Rainey resided in Miamisburg, Montgomery County, Ohio, in 1917.³
     Josephine married Edward Humphrey on October 20, 1920 in Kentucky.² Josephine died on November 4, 1964 at age 84.²

     Etta Pearl Slade was born on June 1, 1878 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Etta married Charles Allen Toadvine on December 17, 1896 in Kentucky.¹ Etta Pearl Slade and Charles Allen Toadvine resided in Miamisburg, Montgomery County, Ohio, in 1917.² Etta died on June 14, 1948 at age 70.¹

     Catherine 'Kate' Belle Slade was born on November 21, 1875 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Catherine married Addison Bane Wheeler on October 1, 1896 in Kentucky.¹ Catherine died on July 31, 1922 in Kentucky at age 46.¹

     Rebecca Jane Slade was born on September 18, 1873 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.²
     Rebecca married Benjamin Walker Brannock on May 8, 1895 in Kentucky.¹ Rebecca died on January 10, 1944 at age 70.¹ She was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.¹

     Elizabeth Lancaster Slade was born on July 8, 1871 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Elizabeth married Robert H Lang on June 29, 1893 in Kentucky.¹ Elizabeth died on May 22, 1961 in Kentucky at age 89.¹

     Ada Ellen Slade was born on December 25, 1869 in Harrison County, Kentucky.² She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹

     Ada married John Franklin Blackburn on August 7, 1913 in Kentucky.¹ Ada died on April 28, 1943 in Kentucky at age 73.²

     Fannie Lee Slade was born on January 28, 1866 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Fannie married John Joshua Sellers on September 13, 1888 in Kentucky.² Fannie died on October 31, 1936 in Kentucky at age 70.¹

     John married first Luella Spradling on May 27, 1886 in Kentucky.⁴
     John married second Henrietta Patton Meek on January 23, 1896 in Kentucky.^3,1 John died on September 1, 1928 at age 64⁵ and was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.³

     Nancy Susan Ann Slade was born on April 7, 1862 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Nancy married James Robert Brannock on November 14, 1880 in Kentucky.¹ Nancy died on October 26, 1938 in Kentucky at age 76.¹

     Cynthia Catherine Lucy Slade was born on November 3, 1860 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel J. Slade and Mary Delilah Martin.¹
     Cynthia married Joe William Beckett on October 31, 1878 in Kentucky.¹ Cynthia died on October 3, 1927 in Kentucky at age 66.¹
