     Samuel married Louisa McDaniel on September 18, 1838.¹ Samuel died on August 5, 1885 at age 67.^1,3 He was buried in Harrison Family Cemetery, Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.³

     Mary K. Harrison was born circa 1800.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Harrison Jr. and Mildred Johnston.¹
     Mary married first Abisha Slade, son of Ezekiel Slade and Mary Hubbard, on January 5, 1826 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ Mary died circa 1845.¹

     Mary Jane Slade was born circa 1828 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Abisha Slade and Mary K. Harrison.¹
     Mary married William Paul Watlington in 1850 in North Carolina.² Mary died in 1869.¹

     Sallie Elizabeth Slade was born in 1839 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Abisha Slade and Mary K. Harrison.¹ Sallie died in 1910.¹

     Maria Green Slade was born in 1854 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Abisha Slade and Sarah Lucinda Taylor.¹ Maria died in 1914.¹

     Pauline Williams Slade was born in 1863 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Abisha Slade and Sarah Lucinda Taylor.¹ Pauline died in 1952.¹

     William Paul Watlington was born in 1828 in North Carolina.¹

     Ida L. Slade was born on October 1, 1896 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of John William Slade and Henrietta Patton Meek.¹ Ida died on August 8, 1984 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, at age 87.² Her obituary read as follows:

      CYNTHIANA - Ida Slade Wilson, 87, of 332 Clifton Village, a retired cashier for Lerman Brothers Department Store, sister of Ruth Riggle, died yesterday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington after a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Drake Funeral Home.²

     Orie Bradford Slade was born on March 3, 1920 in Kentucky.¹ He was the son of John Fletcher Slade and Louisa Grayson.² He served in the US Marine Corps in World War II.³
     Orie married Bonnie Jean Nickell circa 1944.⁴ She was the daughter of James and Bonnie McKinley Nickell.⁴ Orie died on October 23, 2000 at age 80¹ and was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.³

     Bonnie Jean Nickell was born on November 8, 1926 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of James and Bonnie McKinley Nickell.¹
     Bonnie married Orie Bradford Slade, son of John Fletcher Slade and Louisa Grayson, circa 1944.¹ Bonnie died on January 13, 2011 at age 84¹ and was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Bonnie Jean Nickell Slade, 84, of Cynthiana, Ky. died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at her residence.
She was born, November 8, 1926, in Harrison County, Kentucky, to the late Jim and Bonnie McKinley Nickell. She was a retired farmer.
Mrs. Slade was preceded in death by her husband, Orie B. Slade, her daughter, Vicki Kay Harrington,
three sisters, Betty Jane Curtis, Loraine Boone and Lydia Boone, one brother, James Nickell, one niece, Glenda Boone Lovett and one nephew, Larry Nickell.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Susan Malone, Cynthiana, Ky. Carol Lattuca, Lexington, Ky.
Robert Slade, Florida, Dan Slade, Maine, Tommy Cook, Mayslick, Ky., Donnie Cook, Lexington, Ky., Steve Nickell, Cynthiana, Ky., Shirley Tussey, Nicholas Co. Ky. Linda Boyle, Harrison Co.. Ky and Wayne Nickell, Paintsville, Ky. Two sister in laws, Ida Cook and Neva Lanning, both of Cynthiana, Ky.
Services will be conducted 11 A.M. Monday, January 17, 2011, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Active Pallbearers are Gary Malone, Larry Sosbe, Wayne Nickell, Jim Plummer, Mike Lattuca and Robert Slade.¹
