     Dorothy Lee Lanter was born circa 1919 in Kentucky.¹
     Dorothy married Melvin Lloyd Slade, son of Woodie J. Slade and Lenora Highlander.¹ Dorothy died in 1968.² She was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.²

     Jimmie David Slade was born on January 26, 1945 in Harrison County, Kentucky.¹ He was the son of Melvin Lloyd Slade and Dorothy Lee Lanter.¹ Jimmie died on May 12, 2005 at age 60.¹ He was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.¹

     Russell T. Barnes was born on October 25, 1905.¹
     Russell married Mary Belle Slade, daughter of George Washington Slade and Honor Belle Hill.¹ Russell died on January 31, 1997 at age 91.¹ He was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.¹

     William M. Highlander was born in 1888.¹
     William married Fannie Slade, daughter of James William Slade and Susan Barnes, on May 10, 1910.¹ William died in 1969.¹

     Alma Holland was born in 1930.¹
     Alma married John Newton Slade, son of John Fletcher Slade and Louisa Grayson.¹ Alma died on December 20, 1989.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Alma Holland Slade, 59, of Route 2, an employee of the 3-M Co., widow of John N. Slade, died Wednesday at Bourbon General Hospital, Paris. Services 2 p.m. Saturday at Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. today.Lexington Herald-Leader (KY) — Friday, December 22, 1989.¹ She was buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky.²

     Jessica Marie Slade was born on September 26, 1987 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.¹ She was the daughter of Jessie H. "Bucky" Slade and Mary Ann Palmer.¹ Jessica died on December 14, 2016 in Hamilton County, Ohio, at age 29.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Jessica Marie Slade, 29, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 in Hamilton County, Ohio.
She was born in Lexington, Sept. 26, 1987 to Mary Ann Palmer Slade of Cynthiana and the late Jessie H. "Bucky" Slade. She was a homemaker and a member of Living Hope Assembly of God.
She is survived by her two sons, Xavier Kirk and Gabriel Kirk; and two brothers, Ronald H. (Polly) Slade, Cynthiana and Andrew David Slade, Ashland.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Tunya Adams. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 18 from 4-6 p.m. Burial will be in Republican Cemetery. Published in The Cynthiana Democrat on Dec. 22, 2016.¹ She was buried in Rebublican Christian Church Cemetery, Buena Vista, Harrison County, Kentucky.¹

     Duncan Wesley Slade was born on October 20, 1905 in Rankin County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Eli Wesley Slade and Mattie Lavinia Lawrence.¹ Duncan died on June 22, 1934 at age 28.¹ He was buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Koch, Rankin County, Mississippi.¹

     Mildred P. Farley was born circa 1913 in West Virginia.²
     Mildred married Euell Hamilton Slade, son of Robert Newton Slade and Annie Mae Taylor, on December 5, 1934 in Fayette County, West Virginia.^1,3 Mildred P. Farley and Euell Hamilton Slade were divorced in April, 1946 in Raleigh County, West Virginia.⁴ Mildred died circa 1989.

     Billy Slade was born on September 22, 1935 in Glen Morgan, Raleigh County, West Virginia.¹ He was the son of Euell Hamilton Slade and Mildred P. Farley.¹
     Billy married Beverly Stern on September 19, 1959 in Rock Island, Illinois.¹ Billy Slade and Beverly Stern were divorced. Billy died on August 20, 2011 in Clinton County, Iowa, at age 75.¹ His obituary read as follows:

      CLINTON — Billy Slade, 75, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, August 20, at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, at 1 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family.

Billy was born September 22, 1935, in Glen Morgan, West Virginia, the son of Ewell and Mildred (Farley) Slade. Billy married Beverly Stern in Rock Island, Illinois, on September 19, 1959; they later divorced.

Billy was a millwright at Northwest Steel and Wire (Sterling, Illinois) and retired there after working over 30 years.

Billy loved collecting various items, enjoyed his coffee time at Hy-Vee with his friends there and enjoyed spending time at the casino.

Billy is survived by one daughter, Linda (Steven) Hein of Clinton; four sons, Tim (Terri Fuller) Slade of Clinton, Steven (Jan) Slade of Bettendorf, Brett (Charlene) Slade of Clinton, Kory (Paula) of La Grange, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; one brother, Giles (Pete) Slade of Lynchburg, Virginia; and one niece, Suzanne of Lynchburg Virginia; and special friend, Betty Holcomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Steven Charles Hein Jr., and one sister-in-law, Gail Slade.¹
