     Janette Elizabeth Torbit was known as Nettie.² She was born in 1894.²
     Janette married Franklin D. Slade, son of Abraham Slade and Elizabeth Anne Ridley.² Janette died in 1969.² She was buried in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hampton, Baltimore County, Maryland.²

     Phoebe Lawrence was born on July 22, 1849 in New York.^1,2,3 Phoebe married first Horace Thorpe in Litchfield County, Connecticut.⁴ Phoebe married second C. P. Robinson on December 7, 1873 in Lander County, Nevada.^5,6 Apparently, Phoebe married again to a Cousins as she was listed as Phoebe H. Cousins in her marraige record to Van Slade. We were unable to find her marriage record to Cousins in Nevada or California.⁷
     Phoebe married fourth Van Rensalear Slade, son of Abraham Slade and Elizabeth Pearce, on June 27, 1890 in Yolo County, California.⁷
     Phoebe married fifth Alva Udell on May 15, 1906 in Marin County, California.⁸ Phoebe died on January 23, 1924 at age 74.³ She was buried in Winters Cemetery, Winters, Yolo County, California.³

     John Carl Slade was born on February 10, 1889 in Long Greene, Maryland.² He was the son of John E. Slade and Eleanor J. Reiley.³ John Carl Slade registered for WWI draft on June 5, 1917 at Allegany County, Maryland.²
     John married Helen C. Walsh, daughter of Robert Walsh and Mary Elizabeth Atkinson.¹ John Carl Slade was registered for World War 2 draft in 1942 while living in Baltimore, Maryland, living at 1326 Fulton Ave, Baltimore.² People who will always know your address: Mr. A. Slade, 4907 York Road, Baltomore and Mr. Carroll, Camp Holabird, Dundalk, Maryland.²

     Helen C. Walsh was born on August 12, 1897 in Maryland.^1,2 She was the daughter of Robert Walsh and Mary Elizabeth Atkinson.^3,4
     Helen married John Carl Slade, son of John E. Slade and Eleanor J. Reiley.¹ Helen died in September, 1982 in Baltimore County, Maryland, at age 85.²

     Clarence E. Slade was born on December 29, 1924 in Maryland.^1,2 He was the son of John Carl Slade and Helen C. Walsh.¹
     Clarence married Edith V. Williams.³ Clarence died on July 9, 1973 at age 48.^2,3 He was buried in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Anne Arundel County, Maryland.³

     William Madison Barnes was born in December, 1838 in Kentucky.^3,1
     William married Sarah Elizabeth McClure on February 16, 1861 in Harrison County, Kentucky.^1,2

     Sarah Elizabeth McClure was born in October, 1838 in Kentucky.² She was New Tag circa 1840 in Kentucky.¹
     Sarah married William Madison Barnes on February 16, 1861 in Harrison County, Kentucky.^1,3

     Glen Shepherd was born circa 1905 in Illinois.¹
     Glen married Kathryn Slade, daughter of James William Slade and Susan Barnes, circa 1927.¹

     Earl Thomas Slade was born on November 28, 1922 in Kentucky.³ He was the son of John Shawhan Slade and Clara M. Bryant.⁴ Earl Thomas Slade was New Tag circa 1923 in Kentucky.⁴
     Earl married Mary [?].^5,6 Earl died on July 6, 2002 in Butler County, Ohio, at age 79.^3,7 His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE Earl T., beloved husband of the late Mary Slade, loving father of Debbie (Larry) Hyrne, dear grandfather of Anna, Nathan and Leif (Jen) Hyrne and Lena (David) Theis, brother of Robert Slade, Pearl Horan and Gladys Harris. Saturday, July 6, 2002. Age 79. Friends may call at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, Tuesday 6-8 P.M..      Robert Gene Slade was born on May 23, 1934 in Hamilton County, Ohio.^2,3 He was the son of John Shawhan Slade and Clara M. Bryant.²
     Robert married Phillis I. Green.⁴ Robert Gene Slade was known as Bobby Gene.² Robert died on May 22, 2020 in Fort Thomas, Campbell County, Kentucky, at age 85.³ His obituary read as follows:

      Robert Gene Slade, 85, of Fort Thomas, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2020 at his residence. He was a Lift Truck Operator with Nutone for 30 years. He was preceded in death by Father, Johnnie Slade, Mother, Clara Slade, Brother, Earl Slade, Sister, Pearl Horan, Sister, Gladys Harris. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis Slade of Fort Thomas, KY, Sons, Robert Slade, Jr., (Kim), Danny Slade, (Kelly), Michael Slade, (Melanie), Scott Slade, (Christine) Grandchildren, Brandi Slade, Rachel Sharp, Kristen Curtis, Olivia Slade, Adam Slade.

     Pearl married James Horan.² Pearl died on April 21, 2014 in Geneva, New York.² She was buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Ontario County, New York.² Her obituary read as follows:

      Pearl Horan, 99, formerly of Geneva, passed away on Monday (April 21, 2014) in the FF Thompson Nursing Home.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva on Wednesday (April 23, 2014) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday (April 24, 2014) in the funeral home with the Rev. Phyllis Granger officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Oaks Corners.

Pearl was born in Harrison, Kentucky, and resided in Cincinnati, Ohio, for a number of years before moving to Geneva in 1962. She was the daughter of the late John and Clara Bryant Slade. She enjoyed her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Hayes of Clifton Springs; her grandchildren, Tracy (Scott) Davis of New Jersey and James (Sheri) Hayes of Phelps; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Davis, Alex Hayes and Ashley Hayes; her brother, Robert Slade of Norwood, Ohio and; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Horan who died in 1985 and her sister, Gladys Harris and her brother, Earl Slade.
