      MARSHALL -- Services for Charles Edward "C.J." Slade, 25,
of Waskom, will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2006, at First
Baptist Church of Waskom with the Rev. Leland Crawford and
the Rev. Leonard Nichols officiating. Burial will follow
in Restland Cemetery in Waskom. Arrangements are by
Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home. Mr. Slade died July 21,
2006, in Waskom. Born April 27, 1981, in Shreveport, La.,
he was a former member of the Waskom Volunteer Fire
Department, loved playing horseshoes with friends and his
dad, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a member of First
Baptist Church of Waskom. Survivors include his parents,
Tammy and Chuck Slade; and sister, Lagina Lewis.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, July 23, 2006, at the
funeral home.
