     Frederick married Johannette Hies circa 1909.⁴ Frederick Adolphus Slade was found on a passenger list S.S. Cincinnati, sailing from in Hamburg, Germany, on February 13, 1910 to Port of New York.^5,6 He died on June 28, 1913 in Hastings, New York.⁷ He fell off the 50 foot motor boat Devil into the Hudson River near Forest View Park and was drowned. He was Vice-President of Lockwood Hardware Company of New York and lived at 1956 Crotona Parkway, The Bronx. His wife was in Europe at the time.⁷
