Marsha Lavinghouse Slade, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the age of 79 surrounded by her loved ones. She devoted her life to her family and loved ones, to know her was to love her. Beloved wife of Raymond L. Slade, loving mother of Lisa Slade Montaggioni (Carlos Montaggioni), and adoring grandmother to Quirino Thomas Montaggioni. She is also survived by sister in laws Lisa Cooper (Larry Cooper), Lynn Buie, Jean Slade Pierce, Nell Slade, brother in laws Jan Lang (Vickie Lang), Claudie Slade and Clyde Slade, numerus beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her dearest lifelong friend, Sweetpea Bankston. She loved her dog Peanut fiercely. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Linnie Webb Lavinghouse and Hayden Lavinghouse; and dear Aunt Willie Mae Webb. The family would like to thank Cynthia Davis for all of her love and support to the family during this difficult time. Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 3:00 PM with visitation on Saturday beginning 1:00 PM.
