     Ricky Lane Slade was born on March 24, 1966.¹ He was the son of Robert Slade and Linda Jones.¹ Ricky died on April 16, 2014 in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, at age 48¹ and was buried in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, Mercer County, West Virginia.¹

     Donald Franklin Slade was born on September 5, 1937 in Hampton, Bradford County, Florida.^1,2 He was the son of James Vernon Slade and Frances Gertrude Meads.¹
     Donald married Lillian Janet Williamson in 1958.³ Donald died on July 26, 1996 at age 58.² He was buried in Sante Fe Cemetery, Bradford County, Florida.²

     Edna Mae Brown was born on February 24, 1936 in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa.¹ She was the daughter of Alton R. Brown and Mabel V. Bush.¹
     Edna married Clarence Albert Slade, son of Albert Clarence Slade and Ruth Leona Boarts, on November 2, 1956 in Tiffin, Johnson County, Iowa.¹ Edna died on October 3, 2016 in Buchanan County, Iowa, at age 80.¹ Her obituary read as follows:

      Edna Mae Slade 80, of Independence, Iowa died Monday, October 3, 2016 at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center's West Campus in Independence.Edna was born on Feb. 24, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Alton R. and Mabel V. (Bush) Brown. She was raised in the Tiffin, Iowa and graduated from Tiffin High School in 1954. She received a degree in Radiology from the University of Iowa in 1955. On Nov. 2, 1956 she married Clarence A. Slade in Tiffin, and the couple made their home in Independence, where Edna was employed with Peoples Memorial Hospital for 41 years prior to her retirement.She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes Football and Basketball games.She is survived by two daughters: Carla Slade, Marion, Iowa and Corrine (Rob) Corkery, Walker, Iowa; three grandchildren: Erica Corkery, North Liberty, Iowa, Clark Corkery, Rowley, Iowa, and Cecily Corkery, Walker, Iowa; and one sister, Jeanne Schwab, Iowa City.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence A. Slade in 2014; a brother Robert Brown; and two sisters: Mary Ann Eaton, and Suzannah (Pink) Neuzil.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, with Rev. Shari Andersen officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. till Services Friday at the funeral home.      Josephine Thompson was sometimes written as Johanna.³ She was born on November 11, 1890 in New York.^4,3 She was the daughter of James Thompson and Cathrin Conners.¹
     Josephine married Elmer Slade, son of Oscar D. Slade and Mary A. Elms, on December 23, 1912 in Saratoga County, New York.¹ Josephine died on March 2, 1953 at age 62³ and was buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, Saratoga County, New York.³

     Oscar Elmer Slade was born on December 5, 1913 in Schulerville, Saratoga County, New York.^1,2 He was the son of Elmer Slade and Josephine Thompson.¹
     Oscar married Mary Louise Cormie³, the daughter of Emma Young & William Henry Cormie.³ Oscar Elmer Slade enlisted on March 9, 1942 in the New York National Guard, Co L, 2nd Regt.^2,4 Oscar died in July, 1976 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, at age 62⁵ and was buried in Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Coolidge, Pinal County, Arizona.⁶

     Horton J. Slade was born on April 5, 1915 in Saratoga County, New York.² He was the son of Elmer Slade and Josephine Thompson.¹ Horton died on February 9, 1973 in Cambridge, Washington County, New York, at age 57.³
