     Henry Willard Cain was born on December 9, 1848 in Wisconsin.¹ He was the son of Amos Cain.¹
     Henry married Lydia E. Slade, daughter of Luther L. Slade and Cynthia L. Nelson, on April 1, 1879 in Big Prairie Twp, Newaygo County, Michigan.¹ Henry died on November 9, 1919 at age 70.¹ He was buried in Big Prairie-Everett Cemetery, Newaygo County, Michigan.¹

     Donald Gordon Slade was born on September 1, 1919 in Kent County, Michigan.¹ He was the son of Lisle Russel Slade and Hazel B. [?]²
     Donald married Gertrude D. Flowers, daughter of Frank Kwistkowski and Michalina Obuchowski, on September 28, 1946 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.³ Donald died on September 9, 1989 at age 70.² He was buried in Big Prairie-Everett Cemetery, Newaygo County, Michigan.¹

     Helen Wallace was born circa 1897 in Connecticut both of her parents were also born in Connecticut.²
     Helen married Charles Arthur Slade, son of Jacob Slade and Mary [?], circa 1913.³ Helen died on September 7, 1982.⁴ She was buried in Saint John's Cemetery, Darien, Fairfield County, Connecticut.⁴

     Charles Arthur Slade Jr. was born on June 15, 1918 in Washington, District of Columbia.¹ He was the son of Charles Arthur Slade and Helen Wallace.^2,1
     Charles married Barbara Rose Scribner, daughter of Harold Blaine Scribner and Alice Marjorie Lee.³ Charles died on March 4, 2006 in Danbury, Connecticut, at age 87.¹ He was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien, Fairfield County, Connecticut.^3,4 His obituary read as follows:

      Charles A. Slade, a longtime Darien resident, died Saturday, March 4, at Pope John Paul II Center for Healthcare in Danbury. He was 87. Born June 15, 1918, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Wallace) Slade. Mr. Slade graduated from Darien High School. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a policeman in Darien for 22 years, retiring in 1969. Mr. Slade later worked as a mail courier for Darien Public Schools.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6099 in Darien. He enjoyed traveling and U.S. Navy armed guard reunions. Mr. Slade is survived by a daughter, Patti A. Slade of Danbury; a niece and two nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Barbara Scribner Slade. A funeral will be held Thursday, March 9, at 10 a.m. at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, Darien. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pope John Paul II Center for Healthcare, 33 Lincoln Ave., Danbury 06810.³

     Walter Joseph Slade was born on July 23, 1921 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.¹ He was the son of Charles Arthur Slade and Helen Wallace.² Walter Joseph Slade enlisted on October 9, 1942 the Navy and served until he was discharged Sep 26 1945.³
     Walter married Doris Burt⁴, the daughter of Gertrude Steinwald & Robert Arthur Burt.⁵ Walter died on June 2, 1980 at age 58.^1,3 He was buried in Pompano Beach South Lawn Cemetery, Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida.⁴

     Albert James Slade was born on September 27, 1856 in Wellington, Somerset, England.² He was the son of Uriah Slade and Mary Blackmore.^3,4 Albert James Slade witnessed the occupation of Uriah Slade; was a cordwainer [shoemaker].³
     Albert married Anna Ruth Gaylard, daughter of Charles Gaylard and Sarah Fisher, circa 1878.^5,6 Albert immigrated from Liverpool to New York City, New York, on June 26, 1889.² He was a house carpenter in 1910.⁷ Albert was widowed when his wife, Anna, died in 1913.⁸
     Albert married second Mary Ann Gaylard, daughter of Charles Gaylard and Sarah Fisher, circa 1914.¹ On June 4, 1920, Albert and Mary secured passports to visit family and friends in England, sailing July 8, 1920 aboard the Olympic from Port of New York.² Albert died in 1932.⁹ He was buried in Pearl River Cemetery, Rockland County, New York.⁹

     Anna Ruth Gaylard was born in January, 1856 in Langport, Somerset, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Gaylard and Sarah Fisher.³
     Anna married Albert James Slade, son of Uriah Slade and Mary Blackmore, circa 1878.^1,4 Anna immigrated from Liverpool, England| to Port of New York, New York, on November 16, 1889.⁵ In 1900 census, she was listed as mother of 12 children, with eight living.¹ Anna died in 1913.⁶ She was buried in Pearl River Cemetery, Rockland County, New York.⁶

     Albert James Slade Jr. was born on February 18, 1880 in Wellington, Somerset, England.^1,2 He was the son of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.¹ Albert James Slade Jr. was baptized on December 7, 1881; at St John, Wellington Parish.³ He immigrated with Anna Ruth Gaylard from Liverpool, England| to Port of New York, New York, on November 16, 1889.⁴
     Albert married Jennie H. [?] circa 1903.⁵ Albert James Slade Jr. registered for WWI draft wife Jennie N Slade on September 12, 1918 at Rockland County, New York.⁶ Albert died in February, 1966 in Chatham, Morris County, New Jersey.⁷

     Frederick Charles Slade was born on October 4, 1881 in Wallington, Somerset, England.^2,3 He was the son of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.⁴ Frederick Charles Slade was baptized on December 7, 1881; at St John, Wellington Parish.⁵ He immigrated with Anna Ruth Gaylard from Liverpool, England| to Port of New York, New York, on November 16, 1889.⁶
     Frederick married Anna L. [?]⁷ Frederick Charles Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Plainville, Hartford County, Connecticut.¹ He was registered for World War 2 draft in 1942 while living in Bristol, Hartford County, Connecticut.⁸

     Florence Mary Slade was born in December, 1886 in Wellington, Somerset, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.² Florence Mary Slade was baptized on January 19, 1887; at St John, Wellington Parish.¹ She immigrated with Anna Ruth Gaylard from Liverpool, England| to Port of New York, New York, on November 16, 1889.³ Florence Mary Slade was a bookkeeper at lumber yard in 1910 in Orangetown Twp, Rockland County, New York.⁴

     Edwin John Slade was born on March 4, 1888 in Wellington, Somerset, England.¹ He was the son of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.² Edwin John Slade was baptized on April 11, 1888; at St John, Wellington Parish.¹ He was New Tag in March, 1889 in Wellington, Somerset.³ He immigrated with Anna Ruth Gaylard from Liverpool, England| to Port of New York, New York, on November 16, 1889.⁴
     Edwin married Elizabeth Cumberlidge on May 2, 1916 in Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut.⁵ Edwin John Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 5, 1917 in Meriden, Connecticut, at 66 Silver Street.⁶
     Edwin John Slade registered for the draft for World War II in 1942, while living at New Haven County, Connecticut.⁷ Edwin died on January 1, 1968 at age 79.⁸ He was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden, New Haven County, Connecticut.⁸

     George T. Slade was born in April, 1893 in New York.¹ He was the son of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.¹ George T. Slade was a carpenter apprentice in 1910 in Orangetown Twp, Rockland County, New York.³ He was buried.² He was buried in Pearl River Cemetery, Rockland County, New York.²

     Richard Ernest Slade was born on February 24, 1897 in Pearl River Village, Rockland County, New York.^2,3 He was the son of Albert James Slade and Anna Ruth Gaylard.⁴ Richard Ernest Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 5, 1918 in Rockland County, New York.³ Richard enlisted in the US Army on Sept 4, 1918 and was released Mar 2, 1919.⁵
     Richard married Jessie S. Gaines, daughter of Arthur H. Gaines and Amelia Warren [Gaines].⁶ Richard died on May 21, 1981 in Hartford County, Connecticut, at age 84.^2,5 He was buried in Center Cemetery, East Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.⁷
