     George Shepard Slade was born in July, 1854 in New York his father b Vermont and his mother b New Hampshire.² He was the son of William Slade and Sarah B. Shepherd.³
     George married Annettie R. Dunham circa 1880.² George died on September 25, 1935 in Nobles County, Minnesota, at age 81.¹ He was buried in Adrian Cemetery, Adrian, Nobles County, Minnesota.⁴

     Charles Walter Slade was born in September, 1858 in Sauk County, Wisconsin.^1,2 He was the son of William Slade and Sarah B. Shepherd.¹
     Charles married Carrie A. Orvis circa 1881.² Charles died in 1934³ and was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin.³

     Frances Bernice Appel was born on October 31, 1907 in Dusty, Whitman County, Washington.^1,2 She was the daughter of Oswald A. Appel and Fannie Augusta Scholz.¹
     Frances married Clifford Leroy Slade, son of Earl Leroy Slade and Amanda Louise Selzer, on June 11, 1938 in Pullman, Whitman County, Washington.²
     Frances married Clifford Leroy Slade, son of Earl Leroy Slade and Amanda Louise Selzer, on September 4, 1945 in Multnomah County, Oregon. [do not understand this 2nd marriage to same person unless there was a divorce we did not find]³ Frances died on November 18, 2003 in Sitka County, Alaska, at age 96.

     Oswald A. Appel was born on January 5, 1883 in Russia.^2,3 Oswald, age 3, sailed with his family from Hamburg, Germany aboard the Hungaria and arrived at Port of New York on May 15, 1888. His father, Johs Appel, 46, mother, Louise, 42, uncle Leopold, 46, brother Lugon, 7, sisters Rosalia 8, Maria, 5 and Johanna, 9 months.⁴
     Oswald married Fannie Augusta Scholz on November 1, 1906 in Whitman County, Washington.⁵ Oswald A. Appel was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Colfax, Whitman County, Washington.⁶ He was registered for World War 2 draft in 1942 while living in Colfax, Washington.³ His Social Security Card was issued in Oregon before 1951.⁷ Oswald died on August 27, 1971 in Spokane County, Washington, at age 88.^8,9 He was buried in Colfax Cemetery, Whitman County, Arizona.⁹

     Walter Edmund Milford Slade was born on February 24, 1890 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.^1,2 He was the son of James Gideon Slade and Mary Milford.¹
     Walter married Ellen Kitchen on November 22, 1913 in Sydney, New South Wales.¹ Walter Edmund Milford Slade was buried in Tweed Heads Lawn Cemetery, Tweed Shire, New South Wales, Australia.³

     Roy Richard Slade was born on July 7, 1944 in Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont.² He was the son of Roy Franklin Slade and Louise Francis Beaulier.³ Roy died on July 13, 1997 at age 53² and was buried in White Chapel Cemetery, Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont.²

     Elizabeth Belle Husted was born circa 1902 in Pennsylvania.² She was the daughter of William Henry Husted and Charlotte "Lottie" Youmans.³
     Elizabeth married Clifford Leroy Slade, son of Earl Leroy Slade and Amanda Louise Selzer, circa 1928.⁴ Cliff & Elizabeth apparently divorced about 1933-34. After Elizabeth married Robert A. Hunter about 1935, her children; Bryan, Iloe & Sally took the surname Hunter.⁵
     Elizabeth married Robert A. Hunter circa 1935.⁵ Elizabeth died in 1988.⁶ She was buried in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.⁶

     Earl Leroy Slade was born on June 16, 1921 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.² He was the son of Clifford Leroy Slade and Laura Ann Hurlburt.¹ Earl Leroy Slade was living on February 10, 1942 in Seattle, King County, Washington.² He enlisted to serve in Worl d War II on August 14, 1942 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.³
     Earl married Isabella Jane Criddle in 1946.⁴ Earl Leroy Slade was New Tag Correspondance with Earl Slade of Tacoma Wash. who is the grandson to Earl Leroy Slade. Earl died on February 7, 2006 in Seattle, Washington, at age 84.⁵ He was buried in Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park, Seattle, King County, Washington.⁶ His obituary read as follows:

      Earl LeRoy SLADE Age 84, died 2/7/06. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Earl lived most of his life in Seattle, spending leisure time on Sunlight Beach, Whidbey Island. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and participating in every milestone of his grandchildren's lives. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Criddle Slade, son Cliff (Donna) and their children Ian & Hilary, daughter Janet Countner (Bill) and their children Andrea, Will & Lesley, and by half-siblings Alan, Jean, Bryan, Iloe & Sally. Preceded in death by son, Richard and sister, Jessie McAninch. Celebration of life and reception will be held Sunday Feb 19 at 2:00 p.m., Seattle First United Methodist Church, 811 5th Ave, Seattle, 98104.      Jessie married Dufferin Bruce McAninch.^4,5 Jessie died on May 31, 2004 at age 81.⁶ She was buried in Murrayville Cemetery, Murrayville, British Columbia, Canada.⁶

     Jeanette B. Gappa was born on February 23, 1913 in Washington.^1,2 She was the daughter of Charles Gappa and Katherine Erperelding.¹
     Jeanette married Ralph H. Slade, son of Paul Sharon Slade and Mary Mamie Hillman.¹ Jeanette died on December 9, 1940 in Pierce County, Washington, at age 27.¹ She was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.¹

     Ralph Charles Slade was born on May 27, 1933.¹ He was the son of Ralph H. Slade and Jeanette B. Gappa.¹
     Ralph married Shirley A. Rensing. Ralph died in September, 1985 in Pierce County, Washington, at age 52.¹

     Jimmie P. Slade was born on June 12, 1938 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.¹ He was the son of Ralph H. Slade and Jeanette B. Gappa.²
     Jimmie married Nancy May O'Conner.³ Jimmie died on May 24, 1998 at age 59.¹ He was buried in Fir Lane Memorial Park, Spanaway, Pierce County, Washington.⁴

     Harriett E. Langworthy was born circa 1818 in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.
     Harriett married James Madison Slade, son of William Slade and Abigail Foot, on May 11, 1840 in Middlebury, Vermont.¹ Harriett died on April 2, 1891.

     William Slade was born on August 31, 1841 in Addison County, Vermont.^1,2 He was the son of James Madison Slade and Harriett E. Langworthy.¹
     William married Lucy E. Ford on December 25, 1865.² William died on January 2, 1881 at age 39³ and was buried in Middlebury Cemetery, Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.³

     James Madison Slade Jr. was born on June 27, 1843 in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.¹ He was the son of James Madison Slade and Harriett E. Langworthy.¹
     James married Mary S. Rowley.² James died on September 13, 1899 at age 56. He was buried in Middlebury Cemetery, Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.³

     Jane Maria Slade was known as Jennie.² She was born on July 24, 1846 in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.¹ She was the daughter of James Madison Slade and Harriett E. Langworthy.¹
     Jane married Charles Pride on December 25, 1867 in Middlebury, Vermont.^3,2 They had no children.³ Jane died on October 13, 1914 at age 68⁴ and was buried in Middlebury Cemetery, Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.⁴

     Mary Ella Slade was born on April 19, 1856 in Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont.² She was the daughter of James Madison Slade and Harriett E. Langworthy.¹ Mary died on November 27, 1893 at age 37.²
