     Leila Savannah Raines was born in 1878 in Georgia.² She was the daughter of James H Raines.³
     Leila married Jeremiah Obediah Slade, son of Jeremiah Zachariah Slade and Emily Hartie Smith, in 1903.⁴ Leila died on November 26, 1918.¹ She was buried in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.¹

     James Luther Raines was born on December 31, 1872 in Georgia.²
     James married Peggy Ann Slade, daughter of Jeremiah Zachariah Slade and Emily Hartie Smith.² James died on May 13, 1944 at age 71.² He was buried in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.²

     Lawrence Green Rutland was born circa 1829 in Georgia.^1,2
     Lawrence married Martha Ann Slade, daughter of William Slade and Margaret Ann Sutton, on April 16, 1854.³

     Ella Berlen Singletary was born on October 3, 1867 in Georgia [her tombstone says 1871].¹ She was the daughter of John L. Singletary.² Ella Berlen Singletary was New Tag date from cemetery transcription in 1871.³
     Ella married John Jackson Slade, son of William Slade and Winnaford Jackson, on October 25, 1900 in Dooly County, Georgia.¹ Ella died on February 27, 1952 at age 84.³ She was buried in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, tombstone transcription reads Ella Burton Singletary.³

     Allie Sue Slade was born on April 30, 1883 in Freestone County, Texas.^1,2 She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Slade and Sallie Ophelia Keel.¹
     Allie married S. R. Phipps on December 30, 1903 in Navarro County, Texas.³ Allie died on January 9, 1959 at age 75² and was buried in Crown Hill Memorial Gardens, Dallas County, Texas.² She was accidently struck by an automobile in her back yard as her husband was turning the car around.²

     Andrew Jackson Slade Jr. was born on July 3, 1891 in Birdston, Texas.^1,2 He was the son of Andrew Jackson Slade and Sallie Ophelia Keel.¹ Andrew Jackson Slade Jr. was registered in the draft for World War I on June 5, 1917 in Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas.² He was listed as a telephone accountant, living in the boarding house of Bui F. Hamilton. 1503 Canton St., Dallas.³ He was living in Corsicana at the time of his mother's death in 1939.⁴ Andrew died on January 25, 1958 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, at age 66.⁵ He was buried in Hopewell Cemetery, Navarro County, Texas.⁵

     Ann Oregon Slade was born on June 23, 1859.¹ She was the daughter of Jeremiah Slade and Queen Ellen Culpepper.¹ Ann died on September 3, 1859.¹

     Catherine Slade was born on October 12, 1836 in Dooly County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of William Slade and Margaret Ann Sutton.¹ Catherine died on October 17, 1852 in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia, at age 16 while attending school in Milledgeville, Georgia.¹

     Catherine Slade was born on December 14, 1845 in Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jeremiah Slade and Sara Sutton.¹ Catherine died on October 13, 1853 in Georgia at age 7.¹

     William Charles Slade was known as Willie. He was born on January 22, 1878 in Georgia both parents born Georgia.^1,3 He was the son of Jeremiah Slade Jr. and Penelope J. Williams.⁴ He was listed as Charles in the 1880 census, but when a child was called Willie by family and friends.
     William married Carrie Christena Wootten on December 15, 1909 in Wilcox County, Georgia.² William Charles Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Georgia.³ Owners to Buy Back Town Sold at Auction

W. C. Slade, businessman, who bought the town of Plainview at auction, promptly arranged Wednesday for the original owners to buy it back on terms.
The town was sold under a judgement from a United States Court on a suit involving an issue of school bonds. Principal and interest on the bonds amounted to an estimated $18,000. Slade paid $8,000.50 for the property. Taxpayers will repay Slade over a priod of time.

     Thelma Slade was born on June 8, 1900 in Georgia¹ and died on September 20, 1941 at age 41.¹ She was buried in Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Lenox, Cook County, Georgia.¹

     Iola Corrine Slade was known as Corrine. She was born in July, 1895 in Navarro County, Texas.^2,1 She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Slade and Sallie Ophelia Keel.²
     Iola married Lois Cleo Parks on January 24, 1920 in First Baptist Church, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.³ He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Parks & Elizabeth Hutcheson Parks of Ennis, Texas.⁴ Iola Corrine Slade and Lois Cleo Parks were divorced.
     Iola married John Marion Warfield.⁵ Iola died on December 3, 1967 at age 72.¹ She was buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Beeville, Bee County, Texas.¹

     John B. Eldredge was born on April 9, 1823 in New York.¹
     John married Sarah E. Slade, daughter of Israel S. Slade and Hannah Amelia Cross.¹ John died on November 18, 1900 at age 77¹ and was buried in Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, Washington County, New York.¹

     David Henry Slade was born on March 4, 1866. He was the son of Jeremiah Slade and Queen Ellen Culpepper. David died on September 25, 1868 at age 2.

     Dorothy M Slade was born on March 19, 1922 in Crisp County, Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jeremiah Obediah Slade and Jennie Cordelia Fullerton.³
     Dorothy married Franklin Stebin Horne.³ Dorothy died on October 15, 2012 at age 90.³ Her obituary read as follows:

      Dorothy Slade "Miss Dot" Horne Cordele, GA- Funeral services for Dorothy Slade "Miss Dot" Horne will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Cordele First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, 162 Crisp Academy Drive, off of GA Hwy 300 in Crisp County. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, 2012 at the funeral home.
A native of Cordele, "Miss Dot" died on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at her residence at the age of 90. She was a member of the Cordele First Baptist Church, a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Society, a member and teacher of the Merry Sunday School Class. She also was the official score keeper for Cordele Little League and for the 1956 Georgia State Little League Championship. She was involved in the farming and timber industry along with pond management. She was an avid sports fan, especially following closely the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
"Miss Dot" was a teacher for the Crisp County Board of Education for 34 years. She was selected as the first Teacher of the Year in Crisp County. She was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, now known as Georgia College & State University.
The widow of Franklin Stebin Horne, Sr., "Miss Dot" was the daughter of the late Jeremiah Obediah Slade and the late Jennie Cornelia Fullerton Slade. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Irene Slade Williams, Rosa Slade Williams, Ruth Slade, Ethel Slade Spears, J. H. Slade and Harold Slade.
She is survived by her children: Jency Carpenter, and her husband Larry, of Albany and Franklin S. Horne, Jr. and his wife Pat, of Macon; her grandchildren: Dottie Carpenter of Albany, Casey Tumlin and her husband Charles of Beaufort, S.C., Laurie Lee Cranford and her husband Dr. Jay of Macon, F. Stebin Horne, III of Atlanta, and Jay Carpenter and his wife Jenni of Albany; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dot Smith, Vera Rockwell, Laura Bivins, Nettie Little and United Hospice for their love, care, concern and dedication to "Miss Dot's" care.
