     Sara married Paul Addison Slade, son of Walter Anderson Slade and Josephine Cobb Drake.1 Sara died on February 22, 2008 at age 86.2 She was buried in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort County, South Carolina.2 Her obituary read as follows:

      Mrs. Sara J. Slade, 86, of 194 Live Oak Drive (Oakmont), Orangeburg, died Friday morning, February 22, 2008, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, in the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Slade was born February 10, 1922, in Murphy, N.C., a daughter of the late Alfred Voyles and the late Eliza Trantham Voyles. She was the widow of the late Paul Addison Slade. She was a very loving and caring person. She did a lot of traveling throughout the world.
Survivors include one brother, Irie Voyles of Ellajay, Tenn; caregiver, Buford and Edna Voyles of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
