     Mary married Thomas Slade, son of Ezekiel Slade and Mary Hubbard.² Mary died circa 1873.¹

     Adaline married Thomas Satterwhite Harrison, son of Samuel Satterwhite Harrison and Louisa McDaniel, on August 3, 1863 in North Carolina.² Adaline and Thomas S. Harrison were parents of seven children, all born in Caswell County at Big Oaks:

     Isabella married Thomas Satterwhite Harrison, son of Samuel Satterwhite Harrison and Louisa McDaniel, on July 27, 1879 in North Carolina.² Isabel and Thomas S. Harrison were parents of three children, all born in Caswell County:

     John Wesley Slade was born on February 11, 1848 in Caswell County, North Carolina.² He was the son of Thomas Slade and Mary Elizabeth Tabor.¹
     John married Alice Susan Hodges, daughter of William H. Hodges and Mary Frances Hodges, on October 25, 1874.² John was living next to Ezekiel Slade [b 1838] and between them was Betsie Warren 55, b c1825 NC, possibly a relative. John died on September 12, 1922 at age 74 and was buried in Methodist Church Cemetery, Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.²

     Thomas S. S. Slade was born circa 1799 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Mr. [?] Slade and Elizabeth [?].¹
     Thomas married Susan [?].¹ The 1850 census shows Thomas, 51, living with wife, Susan, 40, born South Carolina. Also living in his household are Mary J. Nimms, 20, and Sarah F. Nimms, 18, both born Caswell Co. Next door is John W. Nimms, 25, born Rockingham Co, NC. Could these be children of Susan Slade from a prior marriage? Also living nearby is Elizabeth Slade, 80, possibly Thomas' mother?¹

     Emma Lee Slade was born on August 19, 1880 in Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹ Emma died on August 30, 1922 in North Carolina at age 42.¹

     Florine O'Briant Slade was born on July 11, 1882 in Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹
     Florine married second J. Henry Dailey on December 7, 1924 in Halifax County, Virginia.² Florine died on February 2, 1951 in Yanceyville, Caswell County, North Carolina, at age 68.¹

     Sadie Belle Slade was born on July 16, 1883 in Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹ Sadie died on April 11, 1901 in Caswell County, North Carolina, at age 17.¹

     Alice Cleveland Slade was born in November, 1884 in Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹ Alice died in 1928.¹

     Irvin Hodges Slade was born on June 26, 1886 in Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹
     Irvin married Frances Woodson Wilson on April 16, 1914 in Danville, Virginia.¹ Irvin died on June 20, 1925 in Caswell County, North Carolina, at age 38.¹

     Harry Clay Slade was born on October 10, 1889 in Purley, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹
     Harry married Fannie Johnston Woods on December 16, 1913 in Purley, North Carolina.¹ Harry died on October 5, 1969 in Caswell County, North Carolina, at age 79.¹ He was buried in Purley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Caswell County, North Carolina.²

     Kemper Stuart Slade was born on June 6, 1891 in Dan River Twp, Caswell County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of John Wesley Slade and Alice Susan Hodges.¹
     Kemper married Bessie Belle Lacy, daughter of Cora A. Fultz, on August 10, 1915 in Rockbridge County, Virginia.¹
     Kemper married second Margaret Gilbert.² Kemper died on January 8, 1966 at age 74. He was buried in Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida.³
