     Russell Harris Slade was born on July 31, 1927 in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.¹ He was the son of Ivy Lee Slade and Cleta Mae Hilton. Russel lost an arm removing a gun from a boat and never married.² Russell died on February 15, 2008 in Orange, Orange County, Texas, at age 80.¹

     Jeremiah Dumas Slade was known as Jerry. He was born on June 10, 1858 in Jones County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Joseph H. Slade and Elizabeth M. Dumas. Jeremiah Dumas Slade was a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, Oakland, Louisiana.²
     Jeremiah married Lou Clardy Murphy, daughter of George West Murphy and Elizabeth Clardy, on August 3, 1884 in Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana.³ Jeremiah Dumas Slade died on May 29, 1934 in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas, of a stroke at age 75^2,1 and was buried in Ellington Cemetery, Logan County, Arkansas.¹

     Lou Clardy Murphy was born on December 25, 1860 in Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana.¹ She was the daughter of George West Murphy and Elizabeth Clardy.
     Lou married Jeremiah Dumas Slade, son of Joseph H. Slade and Elizabeth M. Dumas, on August 3, 1884 in Oakland, Louisiana.² Lou died on July 19, 1908 at age 47¹ and was buried in Ellington Cemetery, Logan County, Arkansas.¹

     Annie May Slade was born on November 28, 1886 in Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana.^1,2 She was the daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy. Annie May Slade was graduated in 1904 from in Magazine Ouchita Academy, Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas.³
     Annie married Charles Clarence Leftwich on February 25, 1906 in Paris, Logan County, Arkansas, eloped in a horse and buggy.^3,2 Annie died on February 28, 1955 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at age 68² and was buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.²

     Charles Clarence Leftwich was born on January 18, 1886 in Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas.¹
     Charles married Annie May Slade, daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy, on February 25, 1906 in Paris, Logan County, Arkansas, eloped in a horse and buggy.^2,1 Charles died on March 13, 1969 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, at age 83¹ and was buried in Resthaven Cemetery, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.¹

     Pearl Elizabeth Slade was born on February 12, 1889 in Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana.¹ She was the daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy.
     Pearl married John Penn Combs on June 14, 1909 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.¹ Pearl Elizabeth Slade resided in Springhill, Webster Parish, Louisiana, in 1968.¹ Pearl died on April 7, 1973 at age 84.¹ She was buried in Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery, Union County, Arkansas.¹

     John Penn Combs was born on March 5, 1883 in Arkansas.^1,2
     John married Pearl Elizabeth Slade, daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy, on June 14, 1909 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.² John died on February 23, 1961 in El Dorado, Arkansas, at age 77.² He was buried in Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery, Union County, Arkansas.²

     Roy Voris Slade was born on December 14, 1892 in Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana.¹ He was the son of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy. In 1910, at age 18, he was living with Pearl and John Combs in Union County, Arkansas.² Roy Voris Slade served in US Naval Air Force in World War I.² He lived in Lubbock, TX with Fawn and Hudson Bird during the 1944 time period. He never married.² Roy died in 1947 in VA Hospital, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.² He was buried in Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.

     Alice Eleanor Slade was born on October 11, 1893 in Arkansas.¹ She was the daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy.
     Alice married Charles Embrey Gaylor on August 29, 1913 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.² As of 1960, the address of Alice Eleanor Slade was El Dorado, Arkansas. Alice died in December, 1964 at age 71.³ She was buried in Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.⁴

     Charles Embrey Gaylor was born on July 3, 1892 in Tennessee.^2,3
     Charles married Alice Eleanor Slade, daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy, on August 29, 1913 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.⁴ He had a meat market in Magazine, AR and also was boiler maker.⁵ Charles died in November, 1965 in Arkansas at age 73.³

     Joseph Murphy Slade was born on December 18, 1896 in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas.¹ He was the son of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy.
     Joseph married Nellie M. Hester, daughter of J. B. Hester, on November 16, 1916 in Methodist Church, Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas.² Joseph Murphy Slade resided in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, in May, 1934.³ Joseph died on January 24, 1977 at age 80.⁴ He was buried in Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.⁵

     Nellie M. Hester was born on July 26, 1899 in Arkansas.¹ She was the daughter of J. B. Hester.²
     Nellie married Joseph Murphy Slade, son of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy, on November 16, 1916 in Methodist Church, Magazine, Logan County, Arkansas.² Nellie died on March 15, 1985 at age 85.³ She was buried in Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.³ Her obituary published in the El Dorado News-Times on Saturday, March 16, 1938 read read:
     Mrs. Nellie Hester Slade, 85, of El Dorado, died Friday in a local hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Wesley Berean Sunday School Class, and Circle No. 11 U.M.W. Survivors include a son, James Donald Slade of Fountain Valley, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Lena Westfall of Walnut Creek, Calif; a sister, Mrs. O. D. Stough of Helena; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by Young's Funeral Directors.

     James Donald Slade was born on August 7, 1922 in El Reno, Canadian County, Oklahoma.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph Murphy Slade and Nellie M. Hester.
     James married Jessie Margaret Shackelett, daughter of Thomas Chilton Shackelett and Ora [?], on May 3, 1942 in El Reno, Oklahoma.³ James died on June 7, 1985 in Orange County, California, at age 62.^2,4 He was buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside County, California, "RM3 US Coast Guard."⁵

     Jessie Margaret Shackelett was born on February 19, 1921 in Canadian County, Oklahoma.^2,3,1 She was the daughter of Thomas Chilton Shackelett and Ora [?].¹
     Jessie married James Donald Slade, son of Joseph Murphy Slade and Nellie M. Hester, on May 3, 1942 in El Reno, Canadian County, Oklahoma.² Jessie died on April 28, 2006 at age 85.³ She was buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside County, California.³

     Nellie Lou Slade was born on January 21, 1938 in Arkansas.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Murphy Slade and Nellie M. Hester.
     Nellie married Robert B. Wallace on December 8, 1956.^2,3 Nellie Lou Slade (an unknown value.) Nellie died on June 22, 1972 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas, at age 34.² She was buried in Arlington Cemetery, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.²

     Lillie Moore Slade was born on June 2, 1899 in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas.² She was the daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy. Census 1910 Union Co. AR, age 11, living with sister Pearl and John Combs.³
     Lillie married John Pierce Foster on May 20, 1917 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas., the son of John Paschal Foster & Sinda Rella Ward. In Sept. 1974 she lived at 811 E. Pecan St., El Dorado, AR 71730 from letter she wrote to Mildred Leftwich Biggers. She also lived in Crain, TX earlier.⁴ Lillie died on January 1, 1979 in Union County, Arkansas, at age 79.²

     John Pierce Foster was born on November 20, 1896 in Union County, Arkansas.¹ He was born on November 20, 1896 in Arkansas.¹
     John married Lillie Moore Slade, daughter of Jeremiah Dumas Slade and Lou Clardy Murphy, on May 20, 1917 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas. John died on January 9, 1971 at age 74.¹ He was buried in Parkers Chapel Cemetery, Union County, Arkansas.²

     Benjamin Franklin Roundtree was New Tag on April 4, 1880 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.¹ He was born in September, 1880 in Salt Springs, Saline County, Missouri.^2,3 He was the son of Cooper Bates Roundtree and Ellen P. [?]⁴ Benjamin Franklin Roundtree witnessed the New Tag of Cooper Bates Roundtree in October, 1880 in Salt Springs, Missouri.³
     Benjamin married Golda Elizabeth Slade, daughter of Samuel Joseph Slade and Nancy Irene Bruton, on June 3, 1900.
     After Golda's death, Benjamin married second Matilda Elizabelle Montgomery in 1919.⁵ Matilda was the daughter of Martha W. Emerson and W. C. Montgomery.⁶ Benjamin died on October 6, 1948 in Herman Hospital, Houston, Harris County, Texas, at age 68.¹ He was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Rosebud, Falls County, Texas.¹
