He re-enlisted into 12th Bttn L A (Georgia) on May 1 1862 and was promoted to 4th Sergt (Full, Vol) (date not indicated). He was wounded on Jul 9 1864 at Monocacy, Maryland.2 Samuel died on July 10, 1874 of wounds while serving in 12th Bttn L A (Georgia.)2
