     Robert Hilton Slade was born on July 20, 1907 in Georgia.¹ He was the son of George Washington Slade and Martha Anne Gardner.
     Robert married Beatrice Sexton on October 8, 1940 in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida.² Robert died on March 16, 1957 in Miami, Dade County, Florida, at age 49.^1,3 He was buried in Midway UM Church Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.⁴

     George married first Candida Josefine Santiago, daughter of Rodulfo Santiago and Otilia Victoria Gonzales, on February 3, 1934 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.³
     George married second Nellie Mae Huffman.^3,4 George died on March 13, 1984 in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida, at age 75.^3,5 He was buried in Meadowood Memorial Park, Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida.³

     Alice Murphy was born on February 2, 1889 in Arkansas.¹ She was the daughter of John Murphy.
     Alice married Robert Lee Slade, son of William Little Slade and Florence Mary Burke, on January 12, 1913 in Arlington, Tarrant County, Texas. Census excerp: Mrs. Bob Slade, head of household, widow, both parents b Arkansas. Alice died in October, 1965 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas, at age 76.¹ She was buried in Spearsville, Union Parish, Louisiana.

     Robert Banister Slade was born circa 1914.¹ He was the son of Robert Lee Slade and Alice Murphy. Robert died on June 11, 1915.¹ He was buried in Spearsville, Union Parish, Louisiana.

     James Louis Slade was born on March 30, 1892.¹ He was the son of Jesse James Slade and Leila Lifsey and died on September 8, 1892 in Pike County, Georgia.¹ His tombston inscription reads: A little time on earth he spent, Till God for him, his angel sent.¹

     Henry Franklin Turner was born in April, 1830 in Pike County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Levin Turner and Tabitha S. Lacy.
     Henry married Lavinia Slade, daughter of Samuel Slade and Chloe Harrison, on November 20, 1855 in Georgia.² Henry died in 1917 in Georgia.

     Catherine Brantley was called Cathann. She was born in 1839 in Washington County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Jeptha Brantley and Zilpha Boatright.^2,1
     Catherine married William F. Slade, son of William Slade and Elephair Humphrie Fish, on September 9, 1857 in Georgia by Daniel J Mynick, minister.^3,4 Catherine Brantley died circa 1868 in Georgia.⁵

     William Herbert Slade was born on January 22, 1891 in Pike County, Georgia.² He was the son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leola Mangham.

     Vernon Ellis Slade was born in July, 1892 in Pike County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leola Mangham. Private Slade entered the service 15 Feb 1918 and was attached to Co F, 8th Battalion, 20th Engineers, American University, Washington, D.C. He embarked for overseas March 1, 1918.² Vernon Ellis Slade contracted pneumonia which resulted in his death in France on September 1, 1918 at age 26. He was buried in Plot B, Row 4, Grave 39 at the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery in Romagne, France. There is also a tombstone for him at Fincher Cemetery, Pike County, Georgia inscribed:
     Vernon Ellis Slade 1893-1918 Who gave his life for his country in France. When we shall wake I am quite sure we shall be ever glad that for a while he made us sad.^3,4

     Simon Lester Slade was born on December 18, 1897 in Pike County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leola Mangham. He was never married.¹ Simon died on July 20, 1980 in Abbeville, Henry County, Alabama, at age 82.¹

     Sadie Mangham Slade was born in August, 1895 in Pike County, Georgia.^2,3,4 She was the daughter of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leola Mangham.
     Sadie married John William Johnson.³ Sadie died on December 29, 1974 in Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia, at age 79.^1,5 She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia.⁵

     Leonora "Nora" Reeves was born on November 12, 1875 in Georgia.^3,4
     Leonora married Joseph Wesley Slade, son of Simon Slade and Holland Barrett, on December 12, 1900 in Upson, Georgia.^1,2 Leonora died on December 15, 1966 in Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia, at age 91.^4,5 She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia.⁶

     Joseph Welborn Slade was born on May 10, 1904 in Georgia.² He was the son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leonora "Nora" Reeves.
     Welborn married Edna Calhoun.³ Welborn died on December 24, 1970 in Georgia at age 66.^4,2

     Mary Esther Slade was born on December 22, 1906 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leonora "Nora" Reeves. She did not marry. Mary died on January 18, 1966 in Georgia at age 59.²

     Thomas Reeves Slade was born on January 17, 1911 in Talbot County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leonora "Nora" Reeves.
     Thomas married Kathleen Thomas Collier, daughter of Joseph Harrison Collier and Elizabeth Kate McDowell, on September 5, 1940 in Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia.¹ Thomas died on January 31, 1992 at age 81^2,3 and was buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.⁴

     William Jethro Barrett was born on June 20, 1854 in Pike County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Barrett and Minerva Ann Slade.¹

     Margaret Britt Gibson was born on September 24, 1924 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama,^2,3, the daughter of Mary Graham Britt and James Beauregard Gibson.²
     Margaret married Edward Andrew Slade, son of Ben Turner Slade and Nell Louisa Barrett, in The Presbyterian Church, Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama.⁴ Margaret died on January 23, 2018 in Abbeville, Henry County, Alabama, at age 93² and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Eufaula, Barbour County, Alabama.²

     Minnie Olinza Slade was born on May 4, 1864 in Pike County, Georgia.² She was the daughter of James Madison Slade and Pelatiah Winifred Vaughn.
     Minnie married William Edward Powell on January 25, 1883.³ Minnie died on January 16, 1944 at age 79² and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.²
