Azmon Alexander Howell1

(30 June 1869 - 18 October 1935)
     Azmon Alexander Howell was known as Alexander. He was born on June 30, 1869 in Georgia.2 He was the son of Samuel Alexander Howell and Mary Frances Barrett.3
     Azmon married Mary Rebekah Slade, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Slade and Nancy J Storey, in 1896.4 Azmon was engaged in a very large saw mill business in Louisiana for several years. In April, 1908, he sold his part interest in the mill and relocated his family back to Pike County.5 Census excerp: The census lists him as Alexander A., salesman at stock yards and renting their home.6 Azmon died on October 18, 1935 at age 66.2 He was buried in Zebulon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pike County, Georgia.2

     Kathleen Thomas Collier was born on February 28, 1901 in Talbot County, Georgia.2 She was the daughter of Joseph Harrison Collier and Elizabeth Kate McDowell.3 Kathleen's mother died in 1908.4
     Kathleen married first Charles Warren Moore Jr. in 1919.2,5 Charlie Moore was killed in 1935 autombile accident.
     Kathleen married second Thomas Reeves Slade, son of Joseph Wesley Slade and Leonora "Nora" Reeves, on September 5, 1940 in Talbotton, Talbot County, Georgia.1 After marrying T R Slade, lived in Bryan-Slade house at corner of Jackson Ave and Harrison Street, Talbottom. She was last person to live in the Baldwin House in Talbotton.2 Kathleen died on October 30, 1987 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, at age 86.2 She was buried in Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.6
