     Ethel married Sam Jones Slade, son of Simon D Slade and Lanie Blount, on December 8, 1936 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.^3,2 Ethel died on April 13, 2004 in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia, at age 95.⁴ She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.¹

     Virginia Frances Slade was born on January 30, 1875 in Georgia.² She was the daughter of Simon D Slade and Ann M. Adams.² Living with sister and brother-in-law.

     Eugene married Ella Leonora Slade, daughter of Simon D Slade and Lanie Blount, on June 7, 1913.³ Eugene U. Snider Jr. was registered for the military draft in World War I on June 4, 1917 in Griffin, Georgia.² He was retail store owner.¹ Eugene died on June 10, 1970 in Georgia at age 78.¹ He was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.¹

     Laney Elizabeth Slade was born on March 4, 1901 in Washington County, Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Simon D Slade and Lanie Blount.¹
     Laney married Jack Payton Blackman on May 31, 1924.³ There were no children from this marriage.⁴ Laney Elizabeth Slade was textile worker.⁴ Laney died on May 28, 1973 at age 72.⁵ She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.⁴

     Jack Payton Blackman was born on March 21, 1899 in Georgia and both parents were born in Georgia.¹
