She lived the last eleven years in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ormand Beach, PEO., Arts and Sciences Museum Guild, Christian Women Association, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and Panhellinic Council.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church of College Park, 3726 East Main Street, on Monday, October 27, 1997. Graveside services after church service at West View Cemetery.
Survivors include: husband, Ike Scott; sons, William Marvin Slade II (Providence Spina) of Tampa, Florida, Steve Rucker Slade and Christopher Hugh Slade, both of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Slade and Thomas Jackson Slade; sister, Barbara Rucker Duncan; niece, Valerie Nelms, Fayetteville; niece, Dana Hughes of Macon, GA.
