     Selina Eliza Guy was born on April 7, 1835 in Brighton, Sussex, England.2,3 She was the daughter of Peter Guy and Mary Broadbridge.4 Selina Eliza Guy was christened on July 12, 1835 in St. Nicholas' Church, Brighton, Sussex, England, daughter of Mary & Peter Guy.4
     Selina married George Slade, son of William Slade and Caroline Allen, on July 6, 1863 in Brighton, Sussex.5 Mrs. G. Slade, aged 30, accompanied by a boy aged 3 and a girl aged 2 (likely George Wm & Selina), embarked from Liverpool on the S.S. Nova Scotian arriving Quebec City on July 21, 1867.6 Selina died on July 27, 1920 at age 85.3 She was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.3

     Henry married Hattie Elenia Miller, daughter of Tempust Tucker Miller and Catherine Grobb, on June 1, 1898 in Niagra Falls, New York, USA.3,4 Henry Guy Slade and Hattie Elenia Miller were naturalized on March 21, 1910; by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.5 Henry died on April 26, 1944 in Buffalo, New York, USA, at age 726,7 and was buried in Elmlawn Cemetery, Kenmore, Erie County, New York.6

     Harold Edwin Slade was born on July 8, 1912 in Erie County, New York.3 He was the son of Henry Guy Slade and Hattie Elenia Miller.4
     Harold married Marian E. Hock.1 She was the daughter of Mary and Louis Hock.5 Harold gained a stepson, Ronald.1 Harold died on April 26, 1998 at age 85.3 He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Wilson, Niagara County, New York.1 His obituary read as follows:

      Harold E. Slade, 85, of East Lake Road died Sunday (April 26, 1998) in Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Center after a brief illness.

Slade worked as a machinist at the former Bell Aircraft Co. in Wheatfield, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marian Hock; a son, Walter; a stepson, Ronald of North Tonawanda; two daughters, Elaine Rokosky and Linda Fritzke, both of North Tonawanda; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Ransomville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1836 Langdon Road. Burial services will be private. held in Greenwood Cemetery.
