      Mrs. Edith Slade, 79, Andes, died Tuesday, October 9, 1956, at the Delaware County Sanatorium where she had been a patient since March.

Funeral services were at-2 p. m., Saturday, at the Jester Funeral Home, Andes, The Rev. Paul Brown, pastor of the Andes Methodist Church officiated. Burial in the Andes Cemetery. Burial in Andes Cemetery.

A native of Union Grove, Mrs. Slade was born June 26, 1877, the daughter of Abraham and Martha Barnhart. She was married to Herman Slade, who died in 1953.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Raymond Cole, Mrs. Anna Hickley, Watrous, Pa., Hancock, Mrs. George Darling, Illion, and Miss Mildred Slade, Gloversville.
