     Lena Beatrice Smith was born on July 9, 1908 in Brookline, Massachusetts.² She was the daughter of Nelson B. Smith and Hattie Landfear.²
     Lena married Ora John Slade, son of Robert Benson Slade and Hazel I. Lackey, on March 20, 1935 in Jamaica, Windham County, Vermont.¹ Lena died on February 2, 2005 at age 96.² She was buried in Glebe View Cemetery, South Londonderry, Windham County, Vermont.² Her obituary read as follows:

      SOUTH LONDONDERRY -- Lena Beatrice Slade, 96, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Equinox Terrace in Manchester Center.

She was born July 9, 1908, in Brookline, daughter of Nelson B. Smith and Hattie (Landfear) Smith.

She attended schools in South Londonderry.

She married Ora J. Slade on March 20, 1935, in Chester. He predeceased her in 1979 after 44 years of marriage.

She lived most of her life in South Londonderry and was a postal clerk assisting her husband, who was Postmaster. She retired in the 1970s.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in South Londonderry for 50 years and served as assistant treasurer for a number of years. She was also a member of the American Legion and the Home Demonstration Group.

She liked to knit and crochet and enjoyed reading romance novels and working on jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed going out to eat. She was especially fond of flowers and plants.

She is survived by five nieces and three nephews; many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Margaret Jaquith, Ruth Smith, Nelson M. Smith, Robert L. Smith and Herbert O. Smith, all of whom lived in South Londonderry during their lifetimes.

Services will be held in the spring at the First Baptist Church of South Londonderry. Burial will follow in Glebeview Cemetery.

     June Elizabeth Dohig was born on May 31, 1926 in Ballston Spa, Saratoga County, New York,¹, the daughter of Adelaide Rosemary Bush & Augustus Lawrence Dohig.¹
     June married Richard Burton Slade, son of Clarence Burton Slade and Elsie N. Arnold.¹ June died on June 19, 2017 at age 91.¹ She was buried in St. Mary's, Ballston Spa, Saratoga County, New York.¹

     William Walcott Guild was born in August, 1827 in Vermont his father was born in Massachusetts, his mother was born in New Hampshire.²
     William married Eliza J. Alexander circa 1855.¹

     Gordon William Slade was born on November 10, 1903 in Cheshire County, New Hampshire.¹ He was the son of Allen Earnest Slade and Helen Maria Guild.¹
     Gordon married Dorothy Wright, daughter of James Herbert Wright and Susie Etta Willard, on April 17, 1933 in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont.^1,2 Gordon died on May 17, 1986 in Orleans County, Vermont, at age 82.¹ He was buried in Saxtons River Cemetery, Windham County, Vermont.¹

     Marjorie V. Slade was born circa 1916 in New Hampshire.¹ She was the daughter of Allen Earnest Slade and Sarah Elizabeth Sunbury.¹

     Sarah Elizabeth Sunbury was born on November 28, 1887 in Canada.² She was the daughter of William H. Sunbury and Frances Waite.¹
     Sarah married Allen Earnest Slade, son of Stillman Slade and Abbie Sarah Kench, on June 25, 1913 in Wamesit, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.¹ Sarah died on January 18, 1922 in Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, at age 34.³

     Sylvia M. Guild was born on April 10, 1874 in Cheshire County, New Hampshire.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Walcott Guild and Eliza J. Alexander.¹ Sylvia died on October 4, 1953 in Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont, at age 79.² She was buried in Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.²

     Jennie V. Williams was born in December, 1868 in Vermont.²
     Jennie married Perry D. Norton circa 1889.³
     Jennie married Allen Robert Calvin Slade, son of George Franklin Slade and Margarett J. McClellan, on July 5, 1896.¹ Jennie died on April 15, 1926 at age 57⁴ and was buried in Bondville Cemetery, Windham County, Vermont.⁴

     Gertelle E. Coleman was born circa 1880.² She was the daughter of Herbert O. Coleman and Floretta E. Williams.²
     Gertelle married second Allen Robert Calvin Slade, son of George Franklin Slade and Margarett J. McClellan, on October 26, 1927 in Winhall, Bennington County, Vermont.² Gertelle was widowed when her husband, Allen, died on September 29, 1933 in Vermont at age 62.^3,4,5 Gertelle died in May, 1934⁶ and was buried in Bondville Cemetery, Windham County, Vermont.⁶
