He came to Cayuga County with his parents in 1798, settling in Sempronius, where he had bought four hundred acres of timber land, which he cleared and cultivated, building a log house, and in a few years erecting a fine frame house. He afterward resumed his trade as a hatter, which he followed for a number of years. in 1793.1 Peleg died in 1868 on his farm.1 He was buried in Kelloggsville Cemetery, Sempronious, Cayuga County, New York.2,3
