     John married Frances Louise Dunbar, daughter of Benjamin H. Dunbar, circa 1926.³ Civil Engineer, Assistant Highway Engineer with Florida Highway Department.⁴ John was listed in the 1940 census as 48, divorced, an assistant Highway Engineer with State Road Dept. He was living with his son, William B. Slade, 12, at the boarding house of Gurney Kennedy, 208 South Calhoun Street, Tallahassee, Florida.⁵ John died on November 1, 1969 at age 78² and was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Leila J. Slade was born on July 14, 1898 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of William Bonner Slade and Mary Byrnes Brown.²
     Leila married Major General Philip Edward Gallagher.³ Leila died on September 16, 1976 at age 78.¹ She was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.¹

     Lester Cowdery Slade Jr. was born on October 1, 1914 in Muscogee County, Georgia.^1,2 He was the son of Colonel Lester Cowdery Slade and Lucile H. Dunn.²
     Lester married Doris Lorraine Costello on April 1, 1955 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.³ She was he daughter of Pauline D. Eisner and Arthur Krogstie.³ Lester died on November 7, 1992 in Riverside County, California, at age 78.^1,4

     Colonel Lester Cowdery Slade was born on September 27, 1874 in Eschol, Russell County, Alabama.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Bog Slade Jr. and Almarine Cowdrey.
     Lester married Lucile H. Dunn on April 8, 1910.³ Colonel Lester Cowdery Slade was a lawyer in 1930.⁴ Lester died on June 17, 1938 at age 63⁵ and was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.⁵

     Almarine Lucile Slade was born in 1911 in Muscogee County, Georgia.² She was the daughter of Colonel Lester Cowdery Slade and Lucile H. Dunn.² Almarine Lucile Slade was living in 1992 in Stockton, California; Almarine Slade Layfield was living in Stockton, California at the time of her brother's death in November, 1992.¹

     Marion Slade was born in 1879 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner.¹
     Marion married Kavanaugh Randolph Towsend, son of G. R. Towsend and Frances L Home.² In 1930, Marion was listed as a widow with two young boys. They were living at St. Elmo with her sister, Florence.³

     Martha Bog Slade was born on December 3, 1837 in Clinton, Jones County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Bog Slade and Anne Jaqueline Blount.²
     Martha married Grigsby Eskridge Thomas Jr. circa 1854.^3,4

     Mary Janet Slade was popularly known as Nettie. She was born on August 31, 1862 in Delhi, Richland Parish, Louisiana.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner.³
     Mary married John H. Leitner, son of Dr. Charles B. Leitner, circa 1884.^1,4 Mary died on May 2, 1923 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, at age 60.¹ She was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Mary Lavinia Slade was born on December 11, 1826 in Clinton, Jones County, Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Bog Slade and Anne Jaqueline Blount.³ Mary Lavinia Slade was New Tag in 1832 in Georgia.³ Mary died on February 14, 1863 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia, at age 36.⁴ She was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.⁵

     Richard Kirven Slade went by Kirven. He was born on August 23, 1904 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Bog Slade and Thirza Alma Kirven.¹ Kirven was a charter member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at the University of Florida where he graduated in 1938. Following graduation he joined the McCrory, Armstrong and Waters Insurance Agency and later became Associate General Agent for the John Hancock Company.³
     Richard married Julia Gertrude Broward, daughter of Albert Sidney Broward and Gertrude Grace Geiger, on October 30, 1948 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.⁴ Kirven was an Elder at Riverside Presbyterian Church, a member of the Friars, a past King and Captain of Ye Mystic Revellers and an Honorary Life Member of the Florida Yacht Club.³ Richard died on November 14, 1992 at age 88.³ He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.⁵

     Roberta Slade was born on May 27, 1889 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.^1,2 She was the daughter of William Bonner Slade and Mary Byrnes Brown.¹
     Roberta married George Foster Harley on April 16, 1917 in Columbus, Muscogee, Georgia.^3,4 Roberta and children, Anne and George, Jr. were staying with her parents in 1930. She was not listed as a widow. At the time of her father's death in 1937, she was living in Washington, D. C.^3,5 Roberta died on February 3, 1977 at age 87.² She was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Seymour Bonner Slade was born in 1871 in Georgia.¹ He was the son of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner.¹ Seymour died on July 16, 1887.² He was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²

     Stella Blount Slade was born on July 19, 1839 in Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Bog Slade and Anne Jaqueline Blount.²

     Thomas Bog Slade was known as Tom. He was born on March 19, 1920 in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.^2,1 He was the son of Colonel Lester Cowdery Slade and Lucile H. Dunn.²
     Thomas married Emilie Davis, daughter of Horace Davis and Eva Roberts.^3,4 Thomas died on September 6, 1996 at age 76¹ and was buried in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.¹

     Thomas Bog Slade Jr. was born on December 15, 1834 in Clinton, Jones County, Georgia.^1,2,3 He was the son of Thomas Bog Slade and Anne Jaqueline Blount.¹ He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and became a member of the Dialectic Society in 1852. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1856.⁴
     Thomas married Almarine Cowdrey in 1871. Thomas died on January 1, 1926 in Carrollton, Carroll County, Georgia, at age 91.²

     Thomas Bog Slade Jr. was born on August 20, 1906 in Mexico.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Bog Slade and Thirza Alma Kirven.¹ As a freshman at the University of Floriday in 1926, Tom, Jr., won the Florida state singles and doubles championships and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association singles championship.³
     Thomas married Blanche Evangeline Hall on June 17, 1930 in Duval County, Florida.³ Thomas died on December 26, 1971 in Florida at age 65.²

     Thomas Bog Slade was born on July 19, 1863 in Muscogee County, Georgia.^1,2 He was the son of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner.¹ A graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a civil engineer, he served his duty as an officer before returning to Columbus.

Thomas Bog Slade married first Thirza Alma Kirven, daughter of Richard Kirven, on October 14, 1903 in Rose Hill Baptist Church, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.³ Their second son, Thomas Bog, Jr. was born 1906 in Mexico while his father was supervising road and bridge construction. They returned and lived for a time at St. Elmo before Thirsa died. The widower took his two boys to Jacksonville, Florida.⁴

Thomas Bog Slade married second Frances Vivian Cox in 1915.⁵ In 1941, Tom was a Civil Engineer with the Florida Highway Department.⁶ Thomas died on June 8, 1942 at age 78^4,2 and was buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.²

     William Bonner Slade was born in 1907 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.¹ He was the son of Charles Blount Slade M.D. and Constance A Thill.¹ William Bonner Slade resided in Washington, District of Columbia, in August, 1942.²

     William Bonner Slade was born on October 3, 1859 in Columbus, Muscogee, Georgia.^1,2 He was the son of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner.³ William Bonner Slade was New Tag in 1862 in Georgia.⁴ He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and became a member of the Dialectic Society in 1877. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1880 and later earned a law degree. He was admitted into the North Carolina Society of the Cincinnati in 1900.^5,6
     William married Mary Byrnes Brown, daughter of John Brown, on November 19, 1884 in Columbus, Georgia.^7,2 William Bonner Slade was Bank President.⁷ They were living at 1344 Second Avenue. William died on August 5, 1937 at age 77.⁸ He was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.⁹

     Constance A Thill was born on June 22, 1877 in Minnesota Her parents were both born in France.^1,2
     Constance married Charles Blount Slade M.D., son of James Jeremiah Slade and Leila Birchett Bonner, on September 12, 1901.^3,4 Constance died on April 16, 1962 in New York at age 84.⁵ She was buried in Linwood Historic Cemetery, Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia.²
