     J. married Elora Slade, daughter of James Everett Slade and Lottie E. Weatherford.² J. died on October 27, 2002 at age 71.¹ He was buried in Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Lamar County, Mississippi.¹

     Julia Gertrude Broward was born on October 31, 1912.^1,2 She was the daughter of Albert Sidney Broward and Gertrude Grace Geiger.¹
     Julia married Richard Kirven Slade, son of Thomas Bog Slade and Thirza Alma Kirven, on October 30, 1948 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.¹ Julia died on December 31, 1977 at age 65² and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.²

     Talmadge Vence Slade was born on July 22, 1927 in Goss, Marion County, Mississippi.^1,3 He was the son of Julian Vence Slade and Lovella Madie Tolar.¹
     Talmadge married Edna Estelle Oliver on July 31, 1948 in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida.³
     Talmadge married second Vivian Ellen Thomas on June 21, 1971 in Folkston, Charlton County, Georgia.² Talmadge died on March 12, 2013 in Putnam County, Florida, at age 85³ and was buried in Eliam Cemetery, Melrose, Putnam County, Florida.³

     Annie married William Joseph Slade, son of William Thomas Slade and Mary A. Joiner, on June 28, 1904 in Durham County, North Carolina.² Annie Florence Young was buried.¹ She was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk City, Norfolk County, Virginia.¹

     Phyllis Cathrine Braybrook was born in 1915 in Victoria, Australia, the daughter of George Edward Braybrook², the daughter of George Edward Braybrook & ? Morgan.²
     Phyllis married Stanley Robert Slade, son of William Thomas Slade and Ada Louisa Hartup, in 1936 in Victoria.¹ Phyllis was widowed when her husband, Stanley, died in December, 1965.³ Phyllis died in December, 1996⁴ and was buried in Creswick Cemetery, Creswick, Hepburn Shire, Victoria, Australia.⁴

     Oswald O. Slade was born on February 20, 1907 in North Carolina.^1,2 He was the son of William Joseph Slade and Annie Florence Young.¹ Oswald died on May 31, 1929 at age 22.² He was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk City, Norfolk County, Virginia.²

     Dorothy married Paul Leroy Paschal in Forsyth Memorial Park, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.³ Dorothy died on April 22, 2014 at age 83.² She was buried in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.⁴ Her obituary read as follows:

      Dorothy Slade Paschal passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Dorothy was born on December 23, 1930 to Thomas H. Slade and Layla Stanley Slade in Winston-Salem. Dorothy enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors. She loved spending time by the water, either at the lake or the beach. And she took great pride in caring for her beautiful flowers and raising vegetables in her garden. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Paul L. Paschal, Jr; and her sister, Elizabeth Ann Slade. Survivors include her son, David Slade Paschal and his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Jean Paschal Fullerton; grandchildren, David Slade Paschal, Jr. and his wife, Emily of Calhoun, GA; Justin Steele Paschal and his wife, Ashley; as well as her two cherished great grandchildren, Charlotte Steele Paschal and David Knox Paschal; and her beloved dog, Betsy. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Ernie Plemmons officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718.²
