     Ebenezer Franklin Slade was known as Mack. He was born in 1866 in Marion County, Mississippi.1 He was the son of Samuel S. Slade and Arretta Davis.
     Ebenezer married Margaret Dezelle Carlisle, daughter of Matthew Houston Carlisle and Eliza Jane Tyrone, on January 21, 1897 in Mississippi2, the daughter of Eliza Jane Tyrone and Matthew Houston Carlisle.3,4,5 Ebenezer Franklin Slade was living in May, 1926 in Gross, Mississippi; when he attended his father's funeral.6 Ebenezer was widowed when his wife, Margaret, died in August, 1942 at age 73.3 Ebenezer died in October, 1948 in Putnam County, Florida,7 and was buried in Society Hill Cemetery, Prentiss, Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi.7
