     Gladys Dell Slade was born on January 20, 1945 in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of James Theron Slade and Lois B. Saucier.
     Gladys married Milton J. Migues on March 10, 1967.² Gladys died on March 28, 2006 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, at age 61.¹ She was buried in Southern Memorial Cemetery, Biloxi, Harrison County, Mississippi.² Her obituary read as follows:

Gladys Dell Slade Migues, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 in Pensacola, Fla. Mrs. Migues was born January 20, 1945 in Purvis, MS. She moved to the Gulf Coast in 1960 to live with her sister. On March 10, 1967, she married Milton J. Migues. Together they raised one daughter, and two sons. They lived in Biloxi, MS until they were forced to evacuate to Pensacola, Fla. due to Hurricane Katrina, where Gladys was diagnosed with lung cancer. Gladys was loved very much by family and friends alike, her generosity and kindness towards family, friends, and strangers was an inspiration to others. Her mother, Lois Saucier Slade, her father, Theron Slade, one sister, Helen Janelle Gipson, two brothers, Jerry Slade, Dan Slade, precede Gladys in death.
Gladys is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Milton J. Migues, three children, Theresa Brown, Marcus Migues, Biloxi, MS, Nicholas Migues, Pensacola Fla; three sisters, Faye Slade, Linda Slade, Ocean Springs, MS, Theresa Thomasee, New Orleans, La; one brother, Jimmy Slade, Pascagoula, MS; two grandchildren, Anthony Migues, Samantha Brown, Biloxi, MS; a son-in-law, Michael Brown, Biloxi, MS and numerous nieces and nephews. The family has held a private memorial service at Trahan Family Funeral Home in Pensacola, Fla. on March 31, 2006. Gladys' ashes will be interred at a later date in Biloxi, MS pending the re-opening of Southern Memorial Cemetery.²

     Glenn Mason Slade was born on April 10, 1902 in Marion County, Mississippi. [this part of Marion County became Lamar County in 1904]¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Evander Slade and Mary Francis Lott.
     Glenn married Pellie Windham, daughter of Thomas Windham.² Glenn Mason Slade was living in September, 1946 in Houston, Texas; at the time of his father's death.³ Glenn died on November 19, 1964 in Harris County, Texas, at age 62.⁴

     Grace Slade was born on July 29, 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Slade Jr. and Nellie Collum. Grace died on June 11, 1905 at age 2.¹

     Grady Thomas Slade was born on January 12, 1908 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Dedo Slade and Laura Lee Elliott.¹
     Grady married Merle Avery on July 13, 1940.¹ Grady Thomas Slade was living on June 17, 1965 in Maxie, Mississippi; at the time of his father's death.³ Grady died on August 20, 1969 at age 61.^4,2 He was buried in Carnes Baptist Church Cemetery, Forrest County, Mississippi.²

     Guy Neil Slade was born on January 13, 1904 in Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Rodolphus Slade and Minnie Melissa Bounds. Guy Neil Slade was living in October, 1958 in Gulfport, Harrison County, Mississippi; when his mother died.² Guy died on February 1, 1969 at age 65.¹ He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport, Harrison County, Mississippi.¹

     Hammond H. Slade was known as Ham. He was born on April 10, 1898 in Marion County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Evander Slade and Mary Francis Lott.
     Hammond married Fleacy Beall.² Hammond H. Slade was living in September, 1946 in Columbia, Marion County, Mississippi; at the time of his father's death.³ Hammond died on November 26, 1978 at age 80.^4,5 He was buried in Lumberton City Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi.⁵

     Harvey K. Slade was born in September, 1898 in Lumberton, Pearl River County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Samuel E. Slade and Martha Elizabeth [?]. Harvey apparently died young as he did not appear in the 1910 census with the rest of the family and is not listed in later documents.

     Hattie Roberta Slade was born on July 25, 1888 in Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Calvin Griffin Slade and Harriet Matilda Fillingame.
     Hattie married Thomas Jefferson Kelley. Hattie died on November 27, 1964 at age 76.¹

     Helen Slade was born in 1893 in Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Rodolphus Slade and Minnie Melissa Bounds. Helen died before 1900 in Mississippi.¹

     Henry Slade was born in 1810 in Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Samuel Slade Jr. and Matilda Irby.
     Henry married Susannah Lott on July 27, 1832 in Marion County, Mississippi.¹ Henry died after 1860 and was buried in Grantham Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi.²

     Henry Edgar Slade was known as Edgar.¹ He was born on June 21, 1891 in Marion County, Mississippi.^2,3 He was the son of Joseph Edgar Slade and Lena Elizabeth Lee. Henry died on December 21, 1932 at age 41.² He was buried in Corinth Cemetery, Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi.⁴

     Henry Thomas Slade was born on November 29, 1871 in Augusta, Perry County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Samuel Slade and Sarah Martha Dearman.
     Henry married Jennie Leed Travilion on November 13, 1895 in Estabutchie, Jones County, Mississippi.¹ Henry died on June 19, 1945 in Portland, Multnomath County, Oregon, at age 73.¹
