     Oscar Black Ralls was born on February 8, 1854 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. He was the son of Dr. John Perkins Ralls and Agnes Mary Hamilton.1
     Oscar married Lucy Clara Slade, daughter of Thomas Blount Slade and Catherine Irby Comegys, on November 8, 1882 in Birmingham, Alabama. Oscar was a pharmacist by profession and also served three terms (12 years) as Etowah County Treasurer.1 Oscar died on January 16, 1929 at age 741 and was buried in Forrest Cemetery, Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama.1
