      Patrick Charles Slade died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005 at age 73.

Mr. Slade was a Korean War Veteran where he served in the U.S. Navy.

Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Catherine Slade and brother William Slade, Mr. Slade is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Masetta) Slade; children, Martin (Linda) Slade, Kevin Slade and Karen (Bob) MacDonald; granddaughter, Alison Synborski; great-grandson Jacob Synborski; sisters and brother, Margaret Fose, Richard (Verna) Slade, Mary Downing and Florence (Joseph) Giovino; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Arlene Slade, Joseph Masetta, Vincent (Phyllis) Masetta and Eleanor Calabra; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Slade's Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 2 at St. Jude the Apostle Church. Interment was at Holy Ghost Cemetery.

     Raymond married Gisela VonKomorowski on June 24, 1958 in Berlin, Germany.3 Raymond died on April 23, 2007 in Hanover, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, at age 69.3 His obituary read as follows:

      RAYMOND SLADE, 69 HANOVER - Raymond Slade, 69, of Hanover died Monday, April 23, 2007, in his home. Born Oct. 10, 1937, in Londonderry, Vt., the son of Roy F. and Louise (Boulier) Slade. He attended Vermont schools. Raymond served with the U.S. Army Special Forces for 20 years. He married Gisela VonKomorowski on June 24, 1958, in Berlin, Germany. Raymond was a manager of Residential Property for many years. He was a lifetime member of Belvidere Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1461, and was a member of the Special Forces Association. He enjoyed fishing, ginseng hunting, and was an enthusiastic Chicago Bears football fan. Merrell on August 29, 1970 in Brattleboro, Vermont.1 Lewis Harry Slade was living in October, 2001 in Vernon, Windham County, Vermont.4 Lewis died on May 6, 2017 at age 74.3 He was buried in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery, Brattleboro, Windham County, Vermont.3 His obituary read as follows:

      Lewis Harry Slade, 74, of Vernon, VT, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, May 6, 2017, following a long battle with Parkinson's with Lewy Body Dementia. Harry was born August 10, 1942, to the late Lewis Franklin Slade and Viola Doris Keenan.He entered roofing in his teens, married twice, and owned and operated Harry Slade Roofing for over thirty years; he then joined his son-in-law, James "Jim" Brow to form Slade & Brow Roofing.Jim continued the business when Harry retired to enjoy his leisure following sports, playing poker at Mohegan Sun Casino, spending winters with best friend Ted Nurmi, and sharing much time at church, Bible studies, cookouts, game nights, and events with his children, grandchildren, and church family.He grew up in the Catholic Church, and later joined the Agape Christian Fellowship and dedicated his life to Jesus.      Angeline Sybil Hodgin was born on June 19, 1920 in Winhall, Windham County, Vermont.1 She was the daughter of Herbert Joseph Hodgin and Viola Hoard.1 She was the daughter of Herbert Joseph Hodgin and Viola (Hoard) Hodgin.1
     Angeline married Martin Allen circa 1936.1 Martin and Angeline had six cheldren: John, Francis, Beverly, Marilyn, Sandra & Margot.1
     Angeline married Lewis Franklin Slade, son of Franklin Elmer Slade and Beatrice Ann Maria Carley, on February 3, 1949 in Peru, Bennington County, Vermont.3 Angeline died on December 6, 2004 in Windsor County, Vermont, at age 84.1 She was buried in Glebe View Cemetery, South Londonderry, Windham County, Vermont.1 Her obituary read as follows:

      SOUTH LONDONDERRY -- Angeline S. Slade, 84, a longtime resident of South Londonderry, died Monday night, Dec. 6, 2004, at Springfield Hospital following an illness.

She was born in Winhall on June 19, 1920, the daughter of Herbert Joseph Hodgin and Viola (Hoard) Hodgin. She attended Winhall schools.

She was married to Martin Allen in 1936 and had six children. In 1949, she married Lewis Slade and had four children. Mr. Slade died in 2001.

She started to work at a very young age. She worked as a chambermaid and waitress in the early years and then worked for Orvis Co. for many years.

She loved Vermont and the great outdoors, and enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. She loved the time she spent with her family and always looked forward to her grandchildren. We will all miss her.

She is survived by her sons, Terrance Slade of South Londonderry, John Allen of Bennington and Francis Allen of Newmarket, Md; a stepson, Harry Slade of Vernon; daughters Gloria Wilkens of South Londonderry, Eileen Kimball of Pointciana, Fla., Karen Renn of Sharon, Beverly Ruszala of Westfield, Mass., Marilyn Hurd of LaPlata, Md., Sandra Hammer of Bridgewater Va., and Margot Stark of Hinesberg; sisters Beatrice Cole of Manchester, Maizie O'Leary of Dorset and Beryl Sprague of Dorset; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and grand-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers John and Percy Hodgin, sisters Silvia O'Dell, Margaret Lampson, Pauline Gallagher and Adelle Harris Morey, grandson Robert Hurd and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in South Londonderry followed by the committal of Mrs. Slade's cremated remains in the Glebe View Cemetery in South Londonderry. Pastor Malcolm Hamblett will officiate.1
