Prior to his retirement, Mr. Slade was a supervisor for the State of Connecticut D.O.T., where he worked for over 20 years. He had previously been a buyer for the former Brown Thompson Department Store, and he was a devoted communicant of Corpus Christi Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter- in-law, Richard F. and Eileen Slade of Glen Head, NY, and Robert T. Slade of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Sean Slade, Kim Wendt, and Kelly McDonough; and 2 great-grandchildren, Anna and Kelly Wendt. The funeral will be Tuesday (Dec. 3, 1996), 9:30 a.m., from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield.
