Maude Magdalene Dickson

     Maude Magdalene Dickson was born on May 1, 1900 in Mississippi.1 She was the only daughter of Sidney and Susan Thompson Dickson. She had four brothers: Math, Lee, Lynn, and Lester.1
     Maude married first James Washington Slade, son of Calvin Griffin Slade and Harriet Matilda Fillingame, on December 23, 1915.2 After James death, Maude married Carl Eargle of Pervis in 1943.3 Maude died on February 19, 1994 in Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi, at age 93.4

Martha Estella DuBose1

     Martha Estella DuBose was known as Stella.2 She was born on January 8, 1898 in Mississippi.3 She was the daughter of Burwell David DuBose and Selidia Overstreet.4
     Martha married Charlie Guy Slade, son of William Franklin Slade and Sarah Caroline Davis, on January 7, 1916 in Forrest County, Mississippi.5,6 Martha Estella DuBose and Charlie Guy Slade were divorced.4 Martha died on March 13, 1964 at age 663 and was buried in Tyner Cemetery at Clear Branch Church, Lamar County, Mississippi.3 Her obituary read as follows:

      Lamar County NEWS; Friday, March 20, 1964
Chambliss rites held on Sunday.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Dubose Chambliss, 66, of Hattiesburg were held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Dixie Methodist Church with Hulett Funeral Home in charge.
Rev. Bertis Rouse, Rev. J. P. Holcomb and Rev. J. K. Hegwood officiated. Burial was in the Dixie Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don L. Fillingame, J. A. P. Carter, P. Rogers, James Harvison, A. Hatten and Cecil Harvison.
Survivors are one son, D.C. Chambliss, Hattiesburg, one daughter, Mrs. Louise Dewease, Purvis, a twin sister, Mrs. Cella Rouse, Poplarville, two brothers, Walter and Sam Dubose, Dixie Community, eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.3
