     Daisy married Worley Malley on April 5, 1914 in Mississippi.¹ Daisy died on January 15, 1977 at age 79.² She was buried in Poplarville Cemetery, Pearl River County, Mississippi.²

     Daniel Ephrom Slade was born on December 28, 1936 in Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi.² He was the son of James Theron Slade and Lois B. Saucier. Daniel died on September 9, 2002 in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, at age 65.^3,1 He was buried in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.³ His obituary read as follows:

      SLADE, DANIEL E. - A beloved father, grandfather and brother, he died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at his home in Baton Rouge after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 65, a native of Poplarville, Miss., and a former longtime resident of Biloxi, Miss. Graveside service in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, conducted by Chaplain Carl Wells. Survived by his son, Bryan Slade; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisha and Kevin Garcia; five grandchildren, Madison and Madeline Slade, and Patrick, Stephanie and Natalie Garcia; a brother, Jimmy Slade; four sisters, Faye Thompson, Gladys Miguez, Theresa Thomassie and Linda Slade; and 10 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Lois Slade; a sister, Helen Nell Gibson; and a brother, Jerry Slade. The family wishes to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice for their great care and compassion.³

     Daniel Seborn Slade was born on November 25, 1916 in Lamar County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of John Wyatt Slade and Mary Jane Davis.² Daniel Seborn Slade was living in 1933 in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.³ He married ?² Daniel died in July, 1983 in Purvis, Mississippi, at age 66 last address of record.¹

     Daniel Slade was born on May 16, 1830 in Marion County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Hezekiah Slade and Helena Victoria Taylor.
     Daniel married Sarah Baxter. Soon after he married, Daniel started the first well digging in the area. Several of the wells were still in service 100 years later. He joined the Confederate States Army and served as a member of Captain Green's Company, 3rd Mississippi Regiment, 7th Battalion. He was apparently discharged due to medical illness. By the end of the Civil War, he was on Saddle Island making saddles. They cut their own wood, made their iron rings and tanned hides. That is how Saddle Island between Lumberton and Purvis got its name.² Daniel died on June 25, 1889 at age 59.¹ He was buried in Corinth Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi.

     Daniel S. Slade was born on May 15, 1861 in Marion County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Absalom Slade and Margaret Ellenda Boone.
     Daniel married Sarah Frances Weldy on November 30, 1887 in Mississippi.^3,4 Daniel died on November 4, 1937 at age 76² and was buried in Boone Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi.²

     Daniel Cecil Slade was born on August 6, 1915 in Pearl River County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Albert A. Slade and Elizabeth Scarbrough.
     Daniel married Ida Rae Thigpen on June 27, 1935 in Mississippi.² Daniel died on October 16, 1992 in Gregg County, Texas, at age 77^3,4 and was buried in Memory Park Cemetery, Longview, Harrison County, Texas.^4,5

     Daniel Quitman Slade was known as Quitman.¹ He was born on August 1, 1885 in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.² He was the son of Samuel S. Slade and Arretta Davis.
     Daniel married Missouri Annette Slade, daughter of Joseph Thomas Slade and Eliza Davis, on December 1, 1912.³ Daniel Quitman Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Purvis, Mississippi.² He was listed as blacksmith in the 1920 census and a brick mason in 1930. He was living in May, 1926 in Poplarville, Pearl River County, Mississippi; when he attended his father's funeral.⁴ Daniel died on June 8, 1960 at age 74.³

     Daniel R. Slade was born on September 3, 1889 in Pearl River County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Seborn Slade and Victoria S. Saucier. Daniel died on January 28, 1908 at age 18.¹ He was buried in Corinth Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi.²

     Dedo Slade was born on June 11, 1886 in Marion County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Flemon Slade and Ophellia Stogner.
     Dedo married Laura Lee Elliott on February 17, 1907 in Mississippi.³ Dedo Slade was registered in the draft for World War I on September 12, 1918 in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.² Dedo died on June 17, 1965 at age 79.⁴ He was buried in Corinth Cemetery, Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi.^5,4

     Dimple Slade was born on August 18, 1917 in Lamar County, Mississippi.² She was the daughter of William Adolph Slade and Sallie Anderson. Dimple Slade was known as Dollie D.

     Dempsey R. Slade was born on July 12, 1919 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^2,1 He was the son of John Wyatt Slade and Mary Jane Davis.² Dempsey R. Slade was living in 1933 in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.³
     Dempsey married Brucie Gamble on December 23, 1939 in Purvis, Mississippi.⁴ Dempsey died on January 5, 1982 at age 62.⁵ He was buried in Tyner Cemetery at Clear Branch Church, Lamar County, Mississippi.¹
