     Hettie Alice Slade was born on August 28, 1908 in Lamar County, Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of John Wyatt Slade and Mary Jane Davis.
     Hettie married Howard White on April 10, 1927.¹ Hettie died on September 19, 1995 at age 87.²

      Hezekiah Slade was born in 1874 in Marion County, Mississippi, and died as an infant.¹ He was the son of Calvin Griffin Slade and Harriet Matilda Fillingame.

     Hezekiah Slade was born in May, 1856 in Marion County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Charles R. Slade and Susan Sophronia Baxter.
     Hezekiah married Alice Jane Fillingame.

     Hezekiah Slade was born on April 14, 1804 in Big Pee Dee River, Cheraw District, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Samuel Slade Jr. and Matilda Irby.
     Hezekiah married Helena Victoria Taylor on February 13, 1829 in Marion County, Mississippi.² Hezekiah died in 1863³ and was buried in Hezekiah Slade Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi, off Ed Reid Road on Rock Hill Hunting Club land.⁴

Six of the sons of Hezekiah Slade fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War.

     Hezekiah Franklin Slade was born circa 1839 in Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Hezekiah Slade and Helena Victoria Taylor. Hezekiah died on March 4, 1863 in Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Tennessee.² He was buried in Hezekiah Slade Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi, There is a memorial tombstone in this cemetery for Pvt. Hezekiah F. Slade. We do not know whether he is actually buried there or not.²

     Hilton L. Slade was born on November 16, 1929 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Johnnie J. Slade and Bernith Claiborn.¹ Hilton died on March 31, 2008 in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, at age 78.^2,3 His obituary read as follows:

      Graveside services were held Wednesday at Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nev., for Hilton L. Slade, 78, of Las Vegas, formerly of Purvis, who died March 31, 2008, at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elta M. Slade; his parents, Johnnie Slade and Brunettie C. Brown Byrd; two brothers, Rev. Jesse V. Slade and Gaston R. Slade. Survivors include five daughters, Glenda Cheramie of Raceland, La., Linda Osborn and Brenda Sullivent, both of Las Vegas, Mary Rowland of Slidell, La., and Patty Slade of Hammond, La; two brothers, William W. Brown Jr. of Petal and Billy L. Brown of Kingsland, Ga; a sister, Glynda F. Munn of Sumrall; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.³

     Homer Allen Slade was born on August 13, 1906 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph Edgar Slade and Lena Elizabeth Lee.
     Homer married Bertie Mae Broadus.³ Homer died on April 29, 1971 at age 64.² He was buried in Davis Cemetery, Pearl River County, Mississippi.²

     Houston Slade was born in July, 1895 in Marion County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Hezekiah Slade and Alice Jane Fillingame.
     Houston married Ellen N. [?]² Houston died on April 1, 1932 at age 36.³ He was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Denver County, Colorado.³

     Howard H. Slade was born on September 10, 1919 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^2,3 He was the son of Julius Orvall Slade and Mathilda Agatha Namie. Howard died on March 20, 1947 in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, at age 27.¹ He was buried in Old Samuel E Slade Cemetery, near Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi.³

     Howard Eugene Slade was born on October 13, 1902 in Jones County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Henry Thomas Slade and Jennie Leed Travilion. Howard Eugene Slade was secretary at the lumber mill and staying at the Sistruck Hotel.² Howard died on January 22, 1960 at age 57.³

     I. V. Slade was born on April 9, 1904 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^1,2,3 He was the son of Ralph Demings Slade and Cora Elizabeth Anderson.
     I. married Bertha Daughdrill circa 1925.⁴ I. V. Slade His Social Security Number was registered in Louisiana, indicating that he lived there sometime after 1951.⁵ His Social Security Number was 439-14-8877 in Louisiana. He was living in November, 1963 in Wiggins, Mississippi; at the time of his father's death.⁶ I. died on July 1, 1988 in Wiggins, Stone County, Mississippi, at age 84 [last residence of record]² and was buried in Lott Cemetery near Perkinston, Stone County, Mississippi.³

     Ida Estelle Slade was born on July 7, 1884 in Pike County, Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Jesse Byron Slade and Mary Ellen Duncan.¹
     Ida married Roscoe C. Davis in New Jersey.² Ida Estelle Slade died very likely in New Jersey.¹

     Ida G. Slade was born circa 1867 in Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of John Forsythe Slade and Terry Melissa Magee.¹ Ida G. Slade was born in 1878 in Louisiana.²
     Ida married John E. Jones on November 1, 1883 in Pike County, Mississippi.³

     Boyd Columbus Slade was born on December 16, 1879 in Perry County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Samuel S. Slade and Arretta Davis. Boyd Columbus Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Columbia, Marion County, Mississippi.¹
     Boyd married Annie Jane [?].^2,3 Boyd died on February 4, 1929 at age 49⁴ and was buried in Enon Cemetery, Marion County, Mississippi.⁴

     Irene Slade was born on April 21, 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Warren Rembert Slade and Maud L. Williams¹ and died on September 1, 1924 in Pearl River County, Mississippi, at age 3.¹ Irene Slade was buried in Batson Cemetery on Wolf River, Forrest County, Mississippi.¹

     J. B. Slade went by Jake. He was born on October 18, 1908 in Lamar County, Mississippi.² He was the son of Ralph Demings Slade and Cora Elizabeth Anderson. J. died on March 7, 1989 at age 80.¹ He was buried in Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Sicily Island, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana.¹

     Julian Vence Slade was born on January 19, 1903 in Marion County, Mississippi.^2,1 He was the son of Ebenezer Franklin Slade and Margaret Dezelle Carlisle.
     Julian married Lovella Madie Tolar on February 7, 1922³, the daughter of Lovella Susana Buckley & Walter Webb Tolar.³ Julian died on March 12, 1981 at age 78.¹ He was buried in Eliam Cemetery, Melrose, Putnam County, Florida.¹

     J. P. Slade was born on August 7, 1911 in Okahola, Lamar County, Mississippi. He was the son of Ceamon Calvin Slade and Elizabeth M. Morgan. J. P. Slade enlisted to serve in World War II on November 16, 1942 in Camp Shelby, Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi.¹
     J. married Fleta Estelle Savage on August 28, 1948 in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas.² J. died on December 5, 1995 in Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi, at age 84. He was buried in Providence Baptist Cemetery, Forrest County, Mississippi.²

     James Volney Slade was known as Volley. He was born on August 13, 1875 in Mississippi [his tombstone has Aug 13, 1872].^1,2 He was the son of Franklin E. Slade and Francis E. Davis.³
     James married Alma Slade, daughter of Joseph Thomas Slade and Lena Ladner, on June 17, 1900 in Marion County, Mississippi.⁴ James Volney Slade was registered in the draft for World War I on September 12, 1918 in Forrest County, Mississippi.¹ James died on May 25, 1952 at age 76² and was buried in Tyner Cemetery at Clear Branch Church, Lamar County, Mississippi.²

     James Eugene Slade was born on December 8, 1880 in Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Samuel Slade and Sarah Martha Dearman. James died on September 29, 1949 at age 68.¹ He was buried in Highland Cemetery, Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi.¹

     James Lawrence Slade was born on July 8, 1924 in Lamar County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel Quitman Slade and Missouri Annette Slade. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on a mine sweeper off the coast of Japan. In civilian life he was a brick mason, as was his father and brothers.²
     James married Bernice Marie Merritt.³ James died on December 22, 1977 at age 53⁴ and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Pearl River County, Mississippi.⁴

     James Maxwell Slade was born on January 18, 1918 in Pearl River County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of James Washington Slade and Maude Magdalene Dickson.
     James married Dorothy Wright in Lauderdale County, Mississippi.²
     James married second Norma Jean Lawrence on February 2, 1948 in Alcorn County, Mississippi.² James died on April 18, 1996 in Lacombe, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, at age 78.³
