     Alma Slade was born on May 27, 1910 in Lamar County, Mississippi.1 She was the daughter of Dedo Slade and Laura Lee Elliott.1
     Alma married Estus Lavelle Anderson in Purvis, Lamar County, Mississippi.2 Their children are Edwina, Mary Eunice, Charles Edward, Willie Robert, Arnice Laura, Peggy Lou and Kay Frances Anderson.2 Alma was widowed when her husband, Estus, died on January 8, 1988 at age 83.3 Alma died on May 6, 2004 at age 934 and was buried in Corinth Cemetery, Lumberton, Lamar County, Mississippi.4
