     John married Jane Stacey, daughter of James Stacey and Letisha Gardner, circa 1854.¹ John Tucker Slade was wagon maker in 1860.³ He was listed as a cooper in 1880 and 1900 census in Zilwaukee, Saginaw County, Michigan.^1,2 John died on May 4, 1926 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan, at age 96.⁴ He was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw, Saginaw County, Michigan.^4,5

     Ephraim Slade was born circa 1789 in Massachusetts [calc from age 80y, 2m, 24d].^1,2 His death record shows him born Massachucetts and his parents to be Phebe & William Slade.²

     Ephraim married Ruth Grover.⁴
     Ephraim married second Phebe B. [?]⁵ Ephraim died on August 19, 1869.⁶ He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayland, Allegan County, Michigan.⁷

     William Ruben Slade was born on November 6, 1830 in New York.^1,2,3 He was the son of John Slade.⁴ William Ruben Slade was New Tag unknown in 1832.⁵ He was New Tag circa 1834 in Pennsylvania.⁶
     William married Permelia Clark, daughter of Jonas W. Clark, say 1854.⁶ William died on November 24, 1881 at age 51^2,3 and was buried in Lyons Twp Cemetery, Ionia County, Michigan.³ [His death record states that his father was John Slade].²

     Elias Slade was born in 1812 in Ohio.¹
     Elias married Susana [?] in 1833.¹

     Edward David Slade was born in January, 1871 in Ohio his father was born in Kentucky and his mother was born in Ohio.²
     Edward married Olive Judas Potter, daughter of Franklin W. Potter and Anastasia S. Bartlet, on July 19, 1891 in Clermont County, Ohio.^2,4 Edward David Slade joined the Presbyterian Church in New Richmond, Ohio on March 7, 1897.¹ Edward died on April 16, 1906 in Ohio at age 35.³ He was buried in Watkins Hill Cemetery, New Richmond, Clermont County, Ohio.⁵

     William Slade was born circa 1814 in South Cadbury, Somerset, England.²
     William married Ann [?].²

     William married Amanda Elizabeth Vick on May 13, 1847 in Clarke County, Alabama.^3,4 William H Slade was known as W. H. He was a merchant, $8,000 in real estate and $40,300 in personal property.²

     Bernard Slade was born on April 15, 1780 in East Lulworth, Dorset, England, Christened at Lulworth Castle Chapel (Roman Catholic.)² He was the son of Thomas Slade and Elizabeth [?].^2,3
     Bernard married Charlotte Coombs on March 31, 1800 in Coombe Keynes, Dorset, England.^1,4
     Bernard married second Caroline Presslee in 1844 in Wareham, Dorset, England.^5,6 Bernard was listed as a sailor in 1841 & 1851 census.^5,1 Bernard died in 1855 in Wareham, Dorset.⁷

     Louis Aaron Slade was born in August, 1890 in Russia [born Louis Slochovsky].² He was the son of Aaron Slochovsky.
     Louis married Anna Skarbnik circa 1907.¹ Louis immigrated from Poland to New Jersey in 1909.¹³² Louis died on August 6, 1949⁴ and was buried in Eternal Home Cemetery, Colma, San Mateo County, California.⁵

     Claude Regnald Slade was New Tag [WW2 card says born in Port Huron, Michigan] on October 18, 1882 in Canada.^3,4 He was born on October 18, 1882 in Chatham, Kent County, Ontario, Canada.⁵ He was the son of Richard Slade and Arvilla Annie Bell.² Claude Regnald Slade was New Tag circa 1883 in Michigan.⁶ Claude immigrated from from Canada to United States in 1888.⁷
     Claude married Stella Helen LaMont, daughter of Frank G. LaMont and Charlotte Ormsby, circa 1905.^8,7 Claude was widowed when his wife, Stella, died in 1918.⁹ Claude Regnald Slade was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Smethport, McKean County, Pennsylvania, The 1918 WW1 draft card for Richard Claude Slade has a notation on his WWI registration that he was born in Canada and came to US when six years old. He did not know whether his father was naturalized or not. His wife's name is Stella. Richard's birth date Oct 18, 1882 is same date as on the Death certificate for Claude Regnald Slade and on the WW2 draft card submitted in 1942 by Claude O. Slade of Smethport, Pennsylvania. [This indicates that Claude Regnald Slade, Richard Claude Slade and Claude O. Slade are all the same person]⁴⁴³ [note: the 1920 census indicates that he was widowed, born in Canada and both of his parents were born in Ohio? could this be a mistake for Ontario?].¹⁰
     Claude married second Sarah Keyes.¹¹ Claude Regnald Slade was registered for World War 2 draft on April 27, 1942 while living in Smethport, Pennsylvania, He states that he was born Oct 18, 1882 in Port Huron, Michigan. His wife is Sarah.³ Claude was widowed when his wife, Sarah, died on May 17, 1943 in Smethport, Pennsylvania, at age 64.¹² Claude died on June 8, 1959 at age 76 and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Smethport, McKean County, Pennsylvania.⁵

     William Slade was born on June 26, 1820 in Somerset, England.¹
     William married Sarah Tulledge in 1844 in England.² William immigrated from to Wisconsin in 1870.² William died on October 10, 1902 in Hanson County, South Dakota, at age 82.¹ He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery, Alexandria, Hanson County, South Dakota.³

     Edward Slade was born say 1835 in Newfoundland.¹
     Edward married Rebekah [?].¹ Edward Slade was Church of England.²

     Lawrence Slade was born in August, 1865 in Germany and both of his parents were born in Germany.² He was the son of Martin Slade and Josephine Stafanske.³ Lawrence immigrated from to Michigan in 1883.²
     Lawrence married Margaret Powell circa 1888.² Lawrence Slade was worked in a tannery. Lawrence died on July 9, 1938 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, at age 72³ and was buried in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan.⁴

     Willliam Slade was born on May 4, 1848 in England.^2,3
     Willliam married Maria [?] in Surrey, England.¹ Willliam Slade resided in Richmond, Surrey, England, in January, 1883; at No 4 Sheendale Terrace.¹ He was a plate layer.¹ Willliam immigrated from England to Quebec, Quebec, Canada, in 1887 aboard the S.S. Polynesian.⁴

     Uriah Slade was born in 1805 in Sandford Britt, Somerset, England.^1,2
     Uriah married Mary Blackmore, daughter of James Blackmore, on August 21, 1826 in Wellington, Somerset, England, at St John's Parish Church.^1,3 Uriah Slade was was a cordwainer [shoemaker].⁴ Uriah died on July 10, 1880 in Wellington, Somerset.⁵

     Joseph Slade was born on February 4, 1829 in England.^1,2 In the 1900 census, Joseph stated he immigrated to the United States in 1855.¹ He was registered for the Civil War in June, 1863 in DeKalb, Dekalb County, Illinois.³
     Joseph married Jane Sarney.⁴ In 1880, Joseph's older brother, John Slade, 60, born England 1820, was living with them.⁴ Joseph died on August 25, 1914 at age 85² and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, DeKalb, Dekalb County, Illinois.²

     Frank Jenkins Slade was born on April 5, 1866 in Georgetown, Ohio.² He was the son of John M. Slade.² Frank Jenkins Slade was New Tag circa 1870 in Ohio.¹
     Frank married Mildred J. [?]¹ Frank died on August 7, 1925 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, at age 59.² He was buried in Arlington Cemetery, Cook County, Illinois.²

     William Otis Slade was born circa 1812 in Alexandria, District of Columbia. [Prior to 1850, this portion of Virginia was designated as within the District of Columbia]² He was the son of Charles Slade and Mary Oates.¹ The obituary for Congressman Charles Slade, brother of William Otis Slade, indicates the three brothers, William, Thomas and Charles migrated westward to Clinton County, Illinois. Charles later became U.S. Congressman from Illinois. Apparently, William returned to Virginia. We have found no further record of Thomas.³
     William married Ann Matilda Ewell in 1833 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.^4,5 Ann was the daughter of Catherine Alexander and Bertrand Ewell of Prince William County, Virginia.⁴
     William apparently married second Julianna Fitzhugh, daughter of Mordecai Cooke Fitzhugh and Frances "Fanny" Tabb, however, no record has been found of their marriage. Strangely, they are not shown living together after the birth of their son, Cooke. Julianna was recorded in Oct 1850 census with the surname Slade, but was living with her parents together with her two toddlers, Selina "Julia" Slade, 2, and Cooke Slade, 5/12. In 1860, Julianna and her two children were living with her widowed mother. William Otis Slade was living in Falls Church with his children from his first wife in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census. When her daughter Selina was married in 1877, her marriage record lists Selina's father as William O. Slade.^6,7,8

     James Samuel Slade was born on September 10, 1856 in Head of Clinch, Tazewell County, Virginia.^2,3 He was the son of Wilbur Slade and Julia Margaret Taber.⁴
     James married Benina Jones. She was the daughter of Mary Ellen Riley and Hiram Jones of Meigs County, Ohio.
     James married Ethel M. A [?].¹ James died on November 20, 1923 at age 67.⁵ He was buried in Wolfe Valley Cemetery, Leon, Mason County, West Virginia.⁵

     John Slade was born in 1680 in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset, England.¹ He was the son of David Slade and Deborah [?].¹ John Slade was christened on December 1, 1680 in Winfrith Newburgh.¹
     John married Anne Sergaent on December 27, 1711 in Piddleton Village, Dorset, England.² John Slade was a stone mason in 1719.³ He left a will on January 7, 1726; Probated by wife Anne, on 7 Jan 1726. John was a man of modest means. He left a small plot of landon on Market Street in Poole to his loving son William. The tenatment John lived in, all his goods and chattel were left to his loving wife Anne for the duration of her widowhood. Upon her remarriage, the tentament goes to his daughter Anne. A bequest of £10 to three sons – John, Robert, and Thomas.

     Silas Graves was New Tag both of his parents were born in Virginia circa 1804 in Virginia.² He was born circa 1808 in Virginia.¹

     Charles Everett Slade was born on December 11, 1845 in Pennsylvania.^2,3 He was baptized on February 23, 1852 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.³
     Charles married Nancy Perkins Mallard, daughter of [?] Mallard and Susan S. [?], on March 26, 1869 in Anderson County, Texas.^2,4 As a First Lieutenant, he returned to duty at Fort Stanton, New Mexico.⁵ The census lists his occupation as an officer in the United States Army. The City Directory for Palestine, Texas, published June 1, 1877, listed Charles E. Slade, car repairer I&GN shops, residence Murchison Street.⁶ The Parish Register of the St. Philips Episcopal Church, Palestine, Texas listed as members: Mr. Slade, Katie, Ebert and Frank. Presumibly, this was about 1888.⁷

     Thomas E. Slade was born on March 5, 1889.¹
     Thomas married Maude G. [?] [Slade]³ Thomas died in April, 1970 in Winter Park, Orange County, Florida, at age 81.¹ He was buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, Orange County, Florida.²

     William Slade was born on September 19, 1800 in Marshall's Folly, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.²
     William married Hannah Geare on November 21, 1818 in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland.³ [likely the daughter of Alexander Geare, who was witness at her marriage].³

     Alfred Slade was born circa 1822 in England.¹
     Alfred married Kiziah [?].¹ Alfred Slade served in Company D, 7th Regiment, Florida Confederate Infantry during the Civil War. in 1862.² He apparently died prior to 1880, as Kiziah was listed as a widow in that census.³
