     Leonard E. Slade was born on July 21, 1907 in Orvisburg, Pearl River County, Mississippi.1 He was the son of George Washington Slade and Julia Velma Martin.1
     Leonard married Dossie M. Sosebee on September 5, 1925.2 Daughter of Mossourie and Thomas S. Sosebee from in Carthage, Leake County, Mississippi.3 Leonard died in April, 1984 in Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi, at age 76.4
