      GULFPORT --- Mrs. Olivia Maudell "Nig" Slade, 80, of Gulfport, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002.
Mrs. Slade was a native of Columbia, MS and was a longtime resident of Gulfport since 1943. She was self-employed as a cosmetologist. She was the owner and the operator of Olivia's Beauty Salon in the Fernwood Community since 1960. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents,

Paul B. Sr. and Hettie Jewel Oglesbee.
Survivors include her husband,
Leslie M. Slade Sr. of Gulfport; a son,
Leslie M. Slade Jr. of Gulfport; three daughters,

a brother, Rev. Paul B. Oglesbee of Chunky, MS; three sisters, Polly Robertson of Columbia, MS, Joyce Pride and Jean Dombrowski, both of Gulfport; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Toby Gene Dombrowski, Ricky Dombrowski, Billy Sullivan, Cody Ladnier, Andy Dombrowski and Paul Oglesbee III.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 19, at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel, 25th Avenue, Gulfport at 9:30 a.m. Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at

Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.1
